We are now tentatively planning on taking DS (now 4) to WDW when he's 7 1/2 or 8.

He likes thrill rides, animals, dinosaurs, Pooh and Princesses  (subject to change by then :earboy2: ).

We want to do all 4 parks. We have taken him to DL twice now.

I am thinking 2 days per park, considering when we go to DL, we buy a 5 day PHP.

What do you all think?

We will probably have one rest/shopping day in there. I don't know if we'll do Kennedy Space Center or Universal too.

But how many days do you think for just WDW?

Thanks in advance! :wave2:

A lot of it depends on when you go. You'll get much more done in 8 hours in January than you will in July.

I'd plan 2 days each at MK and Epcot and 1 day each at MGM and AK. Then do a water park for a day. My DS LOVES Typhoon Lagoon and could spend the whole vacation there.

I think it really depends on the time of year and your child. We just got back, and we were there 7 days. My dd5 had enough at about day 5. I don't know if it was because we tried to do too much, or what. You definatley need to have rest days in between going to the parks. But, if you really want to see everything in the parks (which is nearly impossible) you really need a couple of days in each park.

Are you talking a once in a lifetime trip or just his first trip? If it's once in a lifetime I'd plan on 8 days for the WDW main parks--2 for MK and Epcot, 1 for AK and MGM and then 2 floating days to return to the parks you want more time at. If it's warm I agree with addicted_to_WDW that you should plan on at least 1 day at a waterpark. It's nice to have a day off every few days if you have the time.

I haven't been to KSC (my DH brought our older kids and I stayed at our hotel with our then 4yo since I knew he wouldn't care about it and would be very vocal in his displeasure). My kids didn't exactly give it rave reviews, but they like entertainment not education.

We love Universal. I'd suggest 3 days there if you do decide to go. If it's a busy time stay onsite to take advantage of the front-of-the-line privledges.

Have fun planning! Are you sure you want to wait so long to go?
