I am trying to decide how many days we should stay at DLR in Sept and am deciding between staying 4 or 5 nights. Maybe the obvious answer is that we should stay as many days as possible but I am taking the kids out of school for 3 or 4 days. Is there enough to do if we stay 5 nights at the Grand Californian and have 6 day passes? TIA!

We have AP's and still haven't done everything....LOL So I would say yes, 6 days would rock!!

As much as I love DL, I really don't know if I could be there that many days... CA is NOT my favorite place, and I really don't think I could spend more than one day in that park... DL is another story, but unless you are planning on spending alot of time at the hotel pool I really don't know about staying more than 3 or 4 days.... When we go back home to visit, and stay at DL we only do it for 3 nights....Check in one day, DL one day, and CA another day, CO the final day.....Since DL is very much like WDW MK, you can really do it all in a day... You might want to consider visiting other area attractions like Knott's Berry Farm while you are there...

We have only been once, so take this with a large grain of salt.

Definately.

We spent 2 days in DL doing "everything* then 1 day in CA doing "everything." Then we were able to go back one day to each and do favorties, make sure we caught all the shows, etc... We still didn't catch all there was, though. I could easily have added another day to just recap the favorites.

Also, if you are doing any character meals, or anything like that, it will take a large chunk out of your time. With the full five days we also felt great about taking off a few hours each afternoon and playing in the pool & having a relaxing (early) dinner.

We are leaving in one week for six days. We are actually only doing the parks for five days but I just don't think you can do it all in 2 or 3 days. We don't do one park at a time. We take full advantage of the park hoppers and spend the morning at DL then hop over to DCA in the afternoon when it is busier at DL. Then we generally go to the hotel and play in the pool for a while and head back to DL for the evening entertainment and more rides.

by adding the extra days, we are able to spend some time at the pool and not feel like we are wasting our DL time, you know? I say go for it!!!!!

been to dlr, dca, and wdw. done dlr in a day and dlr and dca in as little as 2, heck we saw a huge chunk of wdw in 4 very long days. i find 4 days is a good amount of time for both parks and downtown disney and not be rushed. but i'm traveling with small kids. our trip in nov. was to be 5 but for a small price we went to six day passes. we'll arrive at our hotel around 4pm so we'll have 5 1/2 days really. what i like to do is have a list of all the must do's, would like to's, if we have time and not interested. and then hit the park and complete the list. whats nice with an extra day is you can do your favorites again and again or just relax and not be rushed.

I need at least 3 days but by the end of 4 I'm a bit worn out. So I guess 3 1/2 are perfect for me.
