Do you go to the parks every day? Or do you go half of the days and enjoy the hotel for the rest.

We are staying for 10 days in July and I was wondering how many days some of you veterans would go to the parks out of 10 days.

Since this is last trip before son's and hubby's AP's expire, and not sure if we will renew, I can see us spending a lot of time in the Parks each day.

Last trip we spent 4 out of 7 days at the park...but on 2 of those non-park days we went to MVMCP. So, we spent the day at the pool/resort/villa and the evening in the park. I'm not sure how that would be counted. Probably 6 out of 7.

For this coming Presidents week, we are going for 6 days.We are going to Universal and IOA for 2 days and MGM for 1 day.So only half the time we will be in parks. On the last trip it was just the wife and I, and we didn't go to the parks 1 time.
We like just relaxing at OKW and going to DD,off-site restraunts,Cirque Du Solei, etc.Anything beats the cold weather here in Ohio(3 degrees right now

This past Nov we bought 5day hoppers and used 4days. We also went to MVMCP one night so didnt need to use the hopper that day.
Thanksgiving weekend we stayed at the hotel.

Iwas down last June with my DM and DF for 9 days. We didn't go to the parks once. We had a great time relaxing by the pool at OKW, going to Downtown Disney, checking out the other hotels, etc. We've been members since 1993, so it didn't hurt to miss the parks. Still got our Disney fix.

With our longer stays in DVC, we now plan on doing a park every other morning (we like Early Entry) and sleeping in on the odd days.

Since the Hopper passes make you feel like you have to be in the park all day to get your money's worth we switched to AP's. We really like the flexibility.

We bought them last year for our August trip, and then will use them again for our July trip this year. Works out great and saved us quite a bit! (If you don't count the Christmas trip we snuck in! That cost some bucks, but park entry was already paid!) :)

Anyway, having AP's is great. We can go early and all day - or we can skip a morning and just enjoy an evening in the parks or vice versa! Going to Epcot just for dinner is easy to justify (especially from BCV!)

We're scheduled for 7 nights at VWL in October. We have leftover park hoppers with 2 park days and 3 "plus" days on them. We'll use both park days and do MNSSHP at least once. We're planning on going to a water park for another day, and then just relaxing around the resort or doing other non-park stuff for the rest of the time. This will save us a tremendous amount of money on this trip and it will really give us time to appreciate our "home"! :teeth:

We usually plan our trips for one week in length- - we go to the parks from the day we arrive until the day we leave.

We'll go somewhere at least once a day. But with ee mornings, we come back to the hotel and take a break.

First trip we went down for one day opened and closed MK

Second trip we went for 3 days, 1 at MK 2 at AK

Third trip we went for 5 days. 2 days at MK, 2 days at Epcot, 1 day at AK and then transferred back to Epcot to catch Illuminations which had been "winded out" the night before

Fourth trip we went for 5 days 2 days at MK (left early one afternoon to enjoy the pool) 2 days at Epcot, 1 day at AK after which the kids with with gm and gd back to the resort and we went back to Epcot for dinner and fire works

Upcoming trip we are going for 6 days. I WILL go to MGM this trip, and the other five days we don't know yet. We will most likely spend 2 days at MK and split the other days between Epcot and AK.

In short, we spend most of our time in the parks.

:earsgirl:

We have APs, so we do go to the parks pretty much everyday of every trip. We no longer go commando, sometimes it is just a visit to Epcot for a walk and a meal, sometimes a trip to MGM for Muppets and Tower of Terror. But we do go in at least one park evey day.

On a typical 7 day stay, we usually go only into the parks 4 or 5 days, and then spend the off days by the pool, going to the Polynesian Luao, or at DD...

We have never gotten the LOS passes, because we don't want to feel the pressure of having to go into the park every single day. 4 or 5 days PH are usually what we get, and then if we have a day left over, we can use it on the next trip....

As a side note, we were at VB this year for a 7 day stay, and got the urge to get a park fix at the MK.. So we got up early in the morning, and drove to WDW. It was a long day with the drive, but was fun none the less.. My in-laws had a day left on a 4 day PH from 4 years ago and used it...

We have had AP for our last 4 trip. I have found out as my DD is getting older we spend more times in parks. Last Nov the two of us took a trip and it looked like we were the first and last people in parks. We did go to different parks ad seems like ending up in Epcot every night. It is our fav park for parade and firework and ofcourse the food and test track. When my DH goes with us it seems like we take couple of hours to go back to resort swim rest and then go back to parks.

On our one and only trip to WDW, we were there of 7 nights. We went to the parks 5 days. This drove me nuts.

It was nice to take it easy during the day, but by the evenings I was ready to hit a park. Since we had 5 day hoppers we had to find other things to do.

From now on I will make sure I buy tickets that will allow us to enter a park each day of our trip.

Last trip we got there on a Sunday and left on Saturday. We spent the first aftenoon/evening at DTD and every other day in a park. We had a great time! Mickey

Well, since you are going in July, you may want to split your days up, so you aren't in the parks all of the time during the really hot parts of the day.

I would go in the early mornings, and leave around 11, then to resort hopping, have a leisurely lunch, visit the pool, go to DTD, do Disney Quest, etc.

With 10 days, (never had that luxury), we would probably do the parks in some form at least 8 of them, then use the other 2 to chill out.
