How many days do you go to park?

Staying for a week and just wondering how many days you do a park? I want to do only 3 and husband wants to do 4 or 5.

I would do 5 with breaks in the middle of the day. Or 4 and have 1 day of rest in the middle to hang out at the resort. 3 is not enough time.

If we're there for 7 days then we go to the parks all 7 days. We might only be in a park for half a day or for dinner and fireworks but we go anyway. The additional cost for those few extra days isn't all that much so why not go? A 3-day base ticket is $238.56 (gate price with tax)per adult. A 7-day base ticket is $ 263.06 . That's a difference of $24.40 pp for 4 extra days. With the amount that we pay for resort and airfare, it's not all that much to pay.

BTW - We're also less likely to need to add hopping to a 7-day ticket than we are to want it on a 3-day ticket. That's because we can spread out our touring over a 7-day period but if we only do 3 days and there are 4 parks, we are going to want to hop to a second park on one of those days. Hopping is $57.51 per ticket!

We go every day. We might take one day at Downtown Disney as a break but ride the boats and do the hot air balloon and all our souvenir shopping. What would you plan to do the other 4 days if you only wanted to go to the parks for 3?

Same here. Even though we are annual passholders and can come and go as we please, if we were not, I'd still buy a parkhopper to cover all of the days we are there.

Yep. We go every day we are there. I can *not go to the parks* when I'm at home. I can ONLY go to the parks when I'm there. We don't have to open and close them every day. We also enjoy other aspects of the entire WDW resort.

OP did not mention why they might skip some days at the parks. Perhaps there's a good reason.

We do not go to the park on our arrival or departure day - but spend all other days in the parks. Arrival day we relax, swim, and to DTD, visit monorail resorts. All other days we are there for park opening, take an afternoon break, then go back to the park in the evening. The parks (and the food) are the reason we're there!

We go six days - 2 at MK, 2 at Epcot, 1 at HS, and 1 at AK. Not necessarily all day, but I didn't feel like 1 day was enough at MK or Epcot. And except for a couple of things at HS, we weren't really impressed -so that tends to be a short day. Love AK, but too crowded to want to go twice in a week! I'd plan one at each and then keep a day or two open to see if you feel like hanging, or going back. My kids love the pool too - so there had to be lots of pool time!

I have been going to WDW since I was a kid, and we have always taken at least one day of rest between park days, and that includes the water parks. I just returned from a two-week trip with my DS4, and we went into the parks 5 times in two weeks, and did 1 water park day. We like to enjoy everything that the world has to offer, including outside the parks.

If we are there for seven days, I'd do six park days with Park Hoppers and one day at a waterpark (if it's a warm month). Otherwise, we'd be in the parks every day, just not all day.

Every day. Once when we went for 13-14 days, we took one day off (but it was Christmas - LOL!). Now we don't stay in the parks all day any time, but we hit a park every day.

But since we only take 7-8 day vacations there, it's every day for us.

Then we do 2 park days, and take a day off. If we are only there for 8 days then we just have that one day. For the 9 day trip, we take 2 days off after 2 park days. Or something like that.

We average about 6 days in the park and might take one day off in a week. We don't spend the whole day usually though but often leave for rest in the afternoon. We sometimes don't go back that evening.

Great post, agree 100%! We're there every day including a couple of hours on our departure day--the extra few $$ is well worth it.

Our trip is typically 9-10 days. We don't go on arrival or departure day. We will usually go to the main 4 parks 3 or 4 times but we will do the waterparks twice. Once we even did them 3 times. We also visit the beaches, which we enjoy. The water is so much warmer in Florida compared to here in California.

Last year I think we were there for 11 days and I think we did 4 in the main parks. But we also did Discovery Cove and a 1/2 day at Aquatica. Plus 1 day at TL and one at BB.

Now granted, we have AP to DLR so we go to DL and DCA a lot. That does affect the way we do parks. Also, we buy 10 day, PH, Water Parks Plus, with no expiration. I can get 2-1/2 to 3 trips out of the 10 days (not counting the 10 to Waterparks +).

If we didn't buy the non-expiring then we would probably buy a 6 or 7 day PH and go to the parks more. Only $5 more per day.

We go every day. We might not spend a full day at the park but we go at least part of the day.
