How many days did you wait for voucher?

Hi all,
I did my volunteering on Monday, I know the system says to wait up to 2 weeks to gt the voucher, but the lady who took my blanket said she would get an e-mail from hands on on Tues and would verify my participation then. So, being the worry wart that I am, I was hoping some of you have had a similar experience that worked out just fine and could alleviate my concern!
Thanks!

It took a couple of days after my coordinator verified my service until I was able to print my vouchers. Plus she said she couldn't verify the service until after the date that I had entered as a completion date so if you had a completion date further into the future, you may have to wait until then.

I had to go in and move my completion date up because I had it as March something but we finished our blankets in the middle of January so I changed the completion date to the end of January to allow time for mailing and the PL coordinator time to do what she needed to do and it all worked just fine.

Same scenario here as KJ Luvs Pluto. We were verified in the system 2 days after the "service date" we picked and received our voucher email 2 days after that.

Mine was in my email box 4 days later.

I didn't see it until a week later b/c it went to my Spam folder!!!

I dropped off our blankets last Saturday and changed my service date to Sunday, January 31st. I'm still waiting for my verification. :confused3

I completed mine on Thursday, January 28th (a week ago today) and have yet to receive so much as an email. I checked my account and it just says 'pending verification'. I also checked my junk email, but nothing there.

We're leaving tomorrow and I was planning on using that towards my AP, but unless some miracle happens between now and tomorrow morning I think I'm out of luck. (Yes, I was aware I should allow two weeks - our plans changed and things got bumped up. I was just hoping I'd be one of the lucky ones who receives it in a week - I should've known better. :headache:)

ETA: I just got the email, lol! Woohoo!

I spoke too soon!!! I got an e-mail at 10:20 am with a link to print my vouchers.

To the OP I would think that you should receive something by next Monday.

4 days. We made comfort dolls to be sent to Aids orphans in Africa. We actually made several and sent them out a few weeks ago but the deadline/volunteer date was Monday Feb 1st.

I have not received an e-mail yet however the web site said it was verified and it had a place to click to print the vouchers. (so I did) I will probably get an e-mail later or maybe not. The sign up process was a stressful time for me and my old computer. (I ended up using my son's brand new mac to get signed up) We loved making the dolls and I hope they truly do comfort some orphans in Africa. I offered to go help pack and ship the boxes. The company said they already had plenty of help for that part of it.

As I type this I got an e-mail on how to print my voucher! :woohoo:

My kids, now 13 and 14 helped with the making of these dolls. My oldest helped with the knitting, youngest was chief stuffer and picked yarn color. They both helped package and my husband shopped and paid for materials and did the post office run.

Each doll took us 5-6 hours to knit. If I made a lot more of them I could probably get that down to 2 hours. I plan on continuing to knit and crochet them until I run out of materials and hope the company will be sending another shipment in the future.

My kids don't have any idea that this volunteer opportunity is for a Disney Pass. They don't even know were are going to Florida this year. They are looking forward to helping more! :goodvibes

It took about two weeks from service to printing vouchers.

Our first hurdle was that our service date was far in the future, so the coordinator had us go in and change our service date. (You can't backdate...)

Then it just took awhile because there was only one person handling all the GAD things and she has a full time job.

The final hurdle was that she called me to verify our blankets, because she has 3 people registered with my first initial and last name, which is all I put on the bags of blankets.:headache:

It took a little longer than expected, but overall it was not a bad process. It saved us over $400 towards our tickets (after purchasing materials), so waiting two weeks was worth it!

Just remember that if you are dealing with a local chapter of PL (or a similar organization), the coordinator is likely just another volunteer who is feeling a bit overwhelmed at the sudden surge!

I just logged into my account and found that our service from 1/30/10 had been verified. I never got an e-mail. Now I have to wait until I am home to print the voucher. Cool!!!!

I got my voucher today and it took 5 days to get it!

It is saving me $373 if I choose tickets.

I am thinking of using the vouchers for 3 adult tickets and using the remaining 2 for 2 days of fastpasses- and paying for my 2 kids

I got my vouchers today( Friday). We volunteered last Sunday. I am so excited to use them for fastpasses at the end of the month!

Volunteered on Sat. Jan 30, received vouchers Feb. 3. Only 4 days.:thumbsup2 I hope everyone is getting their GAD vouchers.

We were suppose to volunteer 1/30/2010 but Eastern, NC had an ice storm so we were told to make it up today (2/6/2010) It was very cold and a mist of rain following, but we went. We had to pick up trash around a block. I chose this because it was the only one that would allow a 6 year old. We got there at 9am and he told us to fill up a trash bag. We were done in 35 minutes and he told us we were good to go. The lady asked "had we got our vouchers yet?" I said I did not think so. We got home and the email had came at 7:30am this morning--before we actually volunteered?? So we got ours pretty fast. I am assuming that she sent them in early possibly??

Either way--I have all 4 of them, and we are happy. My DH asked would we have gone--I said absolutely, my conscious would not allow me not to go.

:dance3: Susan

We did our service on 1/29. It took 6 days for those in our group with last names at the beginning of the alphabet to get their tickets, and the one in the group with a 'V' last name got her ticket today, 8 days later. Our trip is at the end of the month.
