We just got back from Epcot, MK and MGM. I cannot believe how much fun I had chasing down characters with the kids. We got some amazing photos. My fave. character was Buzz Lightyear - very cool guy. I asked him how Mrs. Nesbitt was doing and sorry I did not bring him any Darjeeling tea. He moved his head as if he was laughing. On my last trip alone - we met 25 --
Baloo, King Louie, Liver Lips, Mickey, Minnie, Sorcerer Mickey, Jesse, Green Army Man, Woody, Buzz, Genie, Pluto, Goofy, Chef Goofy, Chef Mickey, Chip
Dale, Blue Power Ranger, Donald, Lilo/Stitch, Brother Bears, Chicken Little and Abbey.

Not sure how many I've met (haven't been since Dec '99, but going this Dec.!!!) Rafiki was my favorite!

My fave was the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. She was walking through MK on a busy day, shooing guests aside in sort of a snooty way like you'd expect the Queen of Hearts to do. She posed for a photo with one couple, then as soon as the photo was taken, she shooed them away too. They cracked up laughing, as did I watching it. That was probably the best character CM I ever saw.

Gosh I couldn't begin to imagine how many characters I've met. My favorites are Belle and Malificent (you can only see the latter during Halloween) - Belle is always so friendly and willing to talk your ear off. Malificent is just cool :)

Looking at my notes from last trip in February I met 83 different characters, and I got Merlin's autograph as well b/c I was picked to be the bodyguard at the Sword and the Stone show in MK!!! Hooray for Rare autographs!! (I'll list 'em if you reeeeeaaaalllly want me to)

We met sooooooo many, it's hard to count. We filled up 2 of the princess autograph books, and lost another that was almost full!
Anyway....The Fairy Godmother was my favorite! She spent so much time with my daughters and nieces at CRT, in the lobby. She was the ONLY character who signed TO: LuLu form FROM Fairy Godmother. Later, we saw her in the Dreams Come True parade, and she waved and blew kisses to the girls, they were floored! She was so sweet and genuine, really made my girls trip!

There are probably very few characters we haven't met over the years. :)

I think the villains are the most fun, by far. The Evil Queen is one of my favorites, but I met Governor Ratcliffe at AK (I think) and he was spectacularly evil. Loved him!

We met Mary Poppins at MK and she was the most beautiful face character we've seen. Totally stunning.

Just counted out of boredom - here's the tally:

Mickey, Minnie, Cinderella, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Lilo, Stitch, Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, Brer Bear, Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, Sheriff of Nottingham, Prince John, Baloo, King Louie, Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Belle, Beast, Pocahontas, Hercules, Phil, Mulan, Mushu, Pinocchio, Gipetto, Tweedle Dum & Tweedle Dee (I guess they count as one), Chip, Dale, Mr. Penguin, Gideon, Foulfellow, Max, Rebecca Cunningham, Launchpad McQuack, Darkwing Duck, Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet, Aurora, Alice, Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, Peter Pan, Wendy, Hook, Smee, Merlin, Kenai, Koda, Figment, Nemo, Rafiki, Timon, Meeko, Stanley, Jojo, Goliath, Snow White, Dopey, Buzz, Woody, Bullseye, Jessie, Green Army Man, Flik, Atta, Tarzan, Jane, Terk, Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Frozone, Mary Poppins, Bert, Kermit, Piggy, and Cruella DeVil

And that doesn't count the doubles, which were:

Sorcerer Mickey, Space Goofy, Space Mickey, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers, and Safari Mickey & Minnie

I remember having a very enjoyable chat with Peter Pan last summer. He was really into character and even tried to speak french to my DD'S.

This year I met Mary Poppins on an afternoon alone without my DD,s or Dh. I told her that my nanny was taking care of my DD,s while I was touring the UK pavillion. She even asked me about that long phrase....and if I remembered it. Well WHO doesn't know supercalifragilisticexpialidocious...she then proceeded to ask me if I could say it backwards. What???? then she just went and said it backwards! Really charming. She is also the only one who called me by my name since I was wearing my GOH badge. She even dedicated the autograph to me....Really memorable.

50 on our first trip in Dec., hope to get many more in Sept/Oct. :flower:

Most of the characters were just great with DD, but Alice really stood out for DH, he said she was so into the role.

Later that week we found the same CM as Wendy. There was absolutely no one around her. DD had a pen with 10 different colors. Wendy asked DD if she minded if Wendy drew a picture in the autograph book. Then Wendy sat down on the ground & drew a mermaid, chatting with DD the whole time.

YesI'mObsessed, we met that Fairy Godmother too & she was just wonderful with all the children. I couldn't believe I overheard some impatient parents complaining she was taking so long with each child.

I just looked out (out of boredom). This is who we've met:
Aladdin, Ariel, Baloo, Beast, Belle, Buzz Lightyear, Chip, Dale, Cinderella, Donald Duck, Flik, Geppetto, Goofy, Green Army Man, Jasmine, Jessie, King Louie, Mickey Mouse, Mike & Sulley, Minnie Mouse, Piglet, Pluto, Pooh, Prince John, Queen of Hearts, Rafiki, Tigger, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and Woody. I think that's all we've met.

Aladdin and Jasmine were very chatty with us, as was Belle. The Beast was very sweet to me, "kissing" my hand, bowing, and offering his arm to me. Belle and I had a nice discussion on how much a gentleman the Beast was. Flik insisted that I kiss his cheek before we left. Goofy kissed my hand and then asked shy about doing it. Sulley hid in the corner to try and scare me, and I just called him "Kitty!" the way Boo did. Piglet made sure I gave him a hug and Tigger made us bounce with him. The Queen of Hearts is a hoot to watch, and so are Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

I have no idea how many we've met, but I can tell you that Aladdin is my favorite! I'm 30 and yet I get giddy as a school girl every time I get my picture taken with him!! Probably because he calls me Princess, which makes me melt like butter... :lovestruc

DH and I love to get pictures with characters and I have one photo album dedicated to just our character photos! I love adding to it every trip!

This thread made me think. Here is a list of whom I've met so far:

I have to ask...where did you see her? I know how to say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious backwards and would love to do it! I know...immature but I learned how to do it when I was about 10.

Can anyone tell me if Buzz Lightyear is a talking character? My DS in a huge Buzz fan and I want to be able to explain to him some sort of reason why he doesn't speak to you, if that is the case. Also, does anyone know if the Power Rangers speak to you? What do you tell your kids about the characters who do not speak? Thank you!

I love reading your responses - thanks.
I especially love the one about how Aladdin makes you melt! Cute!
I didn't get to meet him but I did meet the Genie. And no, he did not make me melt but he was adorable nonetheless!

He's not a speaking character. My little sister never asked why...she just kinda knew characters didn't talk unless they were face characters. I think the excitement just made her forget that talking is possible! ;)

also, I doubt the Power Rangers speak either...any character with his/her face covered doesn't speak. I'm trying to think of exceptions, but just can't...
