We have a 10 day trip planned for the beginning of Dec. We have 4 character breakfasts scheduled. Do you think this is too many? We have 3 in a row. I am trying to space these out but on some days (the day of the MVMCP and the day after) we want flexibility to sleep in/relax. Do you think we have too many planned? How many do most people do on their trips?

This is not too many for us! In our 8 nights in Orlando we've planned the following character meals: CRT, LTT, Tony's, Garden Grill, and possibly Chef Mickey's. We prefer character lunch over breakfast.

We will be at WDW this December for 9 nights. Some of our Character Meal Must-do's are: LTT - dinner, Hollywood & Vine - lunch, Tony's - lunch, & Donald's Breakfastosaurus.

We are also wanting to try: Garden Grill for lunch, 1900 Park Faire for Dinner (must see Tigger!), & Ohana's for breakfast on our departure morning (because we will be staying in the Polynesian! :Pinkbounc ). If Crystal Palace re-opens before we leave - we may have to try & fit it in, too. It is one of our favorites for breakfast!

We have usually found great food & all you can eat of it at these character meals. It is sometimes just as much money for us to do Character Meals as any other sit-down meals - & you get to see the characters! :D

Depends on the age of your kids.

We stayed at the BC for 10 days on the
Deluxe Plan (meals included). BC has
character breakfast every morning.

I have two teenagers and by about day
6 we'd basically had enough of characters
at meals. Just wanted to eat and go.
(I think they recognized us because they
will leave you alone after a while-haha)

If you have younger kids, the more the merrier.

I guess we are the exception to the rule. We do only one character breakfast per vacation.

We are not big breakfast eaters so we much prefer to eat a regular lunch.

I don't think 4 is too many for 10 days...We've planned 3 in 6 days during early December too: one b'fast, one lunch and one dinner. If you have older kids or you're all adults, maybe 4 would be excessive.

It would be too many for me. We usually do one character breakfast and one character dinner per trip and that's plenty unless your kids are very young, very into the characters, or don't have a lot of trips under their belts.

Have fun! If you find that after a couple of them you've had enough, just cancel the others.

I think it depends on the ages of your kids. We took a 10 day trip 18 months ago, with kids almost 9, 6 1/2 and 4. We had breakfast at the castle with the princesses and breakfast at the Crystal Palace. We bailed on 1900 Park Faire. We really enjoyed the meals, but I hated losing the early touring time!

For our next trip, our kids will be 12, 9 1/2 and 7. I doubt we'll do too many character things, already our kids just aren't as "into" it. We do Disneyland a couple times a year, and it's just not that big of deal. I mean, they enjoy it, but they don't care if we don't do it.

If you love the character breakfasts and can afford them, go for it!

It depends what characters you are interested in. We are Eeyore fans so one character meal with the Pooh Characters per trip is enough. But if we had other favorites I guess we would arrange character meals with them as well. 4 does seem a little excessive. especially since while the food is good it does all start tasting the same and there is such a variety of options at WDW when it comes to dining. If it is the photo ops that you are interested in chekc out the Animal Kingdom. They have areas where you can take almost all the photos you want with various characters. I must admit the photo ops at character meals are wonderful.

I've already posted that we're doing 5 or 6 character meals in our 7nt. trip. My kids are 10 (11 in Nov.), 8, and 4. We would rather pay to see characters than stand in line. Because we do character meals, there's only 1character we'll stand in line to see, Ariel. We don't normally do this many in this length of trip, but we'll really enjoy it. Last time we did 2 during our 5 days in the parks (Crystal Palace and Garden Grill).

How are Crystal Palace and Garden Grill?

We were thinking to do these as well.

Doesn't sound like to many for us! :)

DH, DD (3 1/2) and I will be in Disney for 12 days in late November/early December, and we've booked PS's for Chef Mickey's, Princess Storybook Breakfast, CRT, Hollywood & Vine, Liberty Tree Tavern, Tony's Town Square, 1900 Park Fare, Donald's Breakfastosaurus, and the Wonderland Tea Party. We love the character meals, and it's so much easier than standing in long lines for autographs and pics! :)

Sounds good to me, We are going for 7 days and going to enjoy, Donalds Breakfast, Hollywood And Vine, Liberty Tree, PSB in Epcot, Garden Grill, Cindys, Park Fare, and Chef Mickeys
Those are just the charactor meals!!!
Others include, 'Ohanas, WCC, Beaches and Cream, Cape May, Teppanykia (sp) in Japan, HDD. Enjoy!!

for us we love the meals and so does our son. The prices have jsut gone up, but still they are a good value. I say do as many as you want as you can never get enough of the Character interaction and Disney-feel.

On a normal 9-10 night trip we do 5-6 character meals, we usually do not like to eat at the same place twice ona vacation (yes, after typing that it seems like a strange thing to do).

Go and enjoy the meals.
