How many calls to get your ressie ??

How many times did you have to call to get all of the days you wanted for your trip

  • Just once- I am that good =)

  • Second time is a charm

  • 3-10 times- starting to get frustrated

  • 10-15 times- ARGH

  • more than 16- really annoyed now, but finally got it

  • I gave up on my last/next trip because I couldn't get the the days I wanted

How many times did you have to call to get all of the days you wanted for your last trip/or you next one ??

Is this gonna be another poll??? I bet it is.

i spend most of my time on line :surfweb: trying to get the days i want. i just take what is available and keep adding until i have everything.

Oh Good! It was time for a new poll! I was going into withdraw!

I said once, because every ressie I've ever made I've gotten right away (-1). I also tend to plan way in advance. The only one I had to call multiple times for was last Christmas, but I didn't even try until close to Thanksgiving. OK, there was that one time that I had ressies at POR and decided to change it to the Poly. That took a few tries. That's it. I think.

It only took one call for our trip last Easter (I called the Septemer before). For our upcoming December 08 trip it took 6 weeks of calling to finally get everything I wanted :scared1:

I booked mine on the web site. Last September I decided I wanted to go down over spring break. I checked the web site for a preferred site. It was available so I reserved.

I checked 1 time, cuz both times I made ressies, it was like 10 months out for very off season time. The time before that, I was like 7 and my family made the ressies LOL

I always have gotten thru on the first try, even for Spring Break, but I call at the 11 month limit ( DVC ). I already have our plans set for '09 and '10 just waiting for the 11 month mark for '09.

I always got them the first try, but then again, we went during the off season. I was worried about our June trip and just called two days ago and got all the days right away.

We like to arrive around the 30th of Dec. Christmas time reservations are getting to be a nightmare. I'm afraid I'm one of those over planners that start calling at the 500 day window. However, Disney does not open that window for the campground. Since the true date to get the campground booked seems to be known only to some higher ups, its a guessing game and I call every morning till I get my days. <sigh> For Dec. 30, 2008 I started calling the end of Aug. 07 and I just checked my reservation form and the date I finally was able to get the site booked was the middle of Oct. So...looks like I called almost daily for around 75 days. Thank goodness for that 800 number.

And yes....it got to the point that when I called I was recognizing the CM's and they were remembering me

OOPS! Obviously I cant count...make that 45 days!!!!

Took us 2 tries to get our Halloween reservations, but wasn't much of a pain at all :)

I made over 100 calls to get 8 nights during Thanksgiving week 2007. On one of those calls I made my ressies for Thanksgiving week 2008 (I'm a quick learner).

Took us two tries. The first call the person acted like he could care less. the secon person actually made an effort to help us with days we could get.

Of course ;) You just posted before I finished the poll.....:rotfl:

I know better than to post to quick on yours now. ;) Last time I couldn't find the poll but I was not alone :lmao:

I get my ressie on the first try. We usually go the beginning to mid December and I always book close to a year out. Most of the time I book a few days after we get back from our trip.

O.K., I may be the most clueless person around. What is the 800 number? I've been using (407)w-disney... UG!!!!! Thanks for your help!!

Its a super secret number only given to people who know people, or who know good things about bad people... Oh, and Rhonda knows it too.

I have no idea, I always use the 407 number, luckily, my long distance is only like 3 cents a minute.... I love it,

I answered only once because I usually look online 1st and once I play the Disney stay 20 nights and get what you need I make the call. Once I book my extended stay I call a few days later and drop the days I don't want.

Shhhh......now don't no one tell!!! The super secret 800 number is.....
877-939-3732. Ok it's not an 800 #:rotfl: but it is toll free.

We wanted only one weekend night before Christmas. We figured it would be a miracle, but we got it after calling every day for about 45 days. Somewhere we read to call in the morning. Once we did that, we got our Saturday night campsite!
