I'm not from Oregon... or in Oregon right now... but I spend several wonderful months a year in.. and traveling between... Gold Beach and Elkton.

We actually got married in OR. In Hillsboro, at a McMenamins property (we are completely addicted to whatever those brothers create).

Yuck! No I dont can grapes. But I do make jelly. Next year I will sale my grapes to a winery.

Fellow beaver stater here. I was born in Albany, grew up in Salem now live in Central Oregon just outside of Bend.

We are headed to DL on the 17th to celebrate our 8th Anniversary!!!

Congrats. We will be heading to DL on the 29th for our 22nd Anniversary!

gnbuggy, oh I love Eugene, too! I was born in San Francisco in 1969, so you can imagine what my parents were up to in their youth, and most of their old friends from the era are now living in Eugene. I went to the most wonderful wedding (better than even mine!) down there...sigh. On our trip back from Disneyland the other week, we noticed the Royal Caribbean customer service call center off of 5 in Springfield, and we both thought...hmm, a job that we could live in this area for...hmm....

Yeah, lots of my clients rolled their eyes when I talked about the tie-dyed mickey head shirts my friend and I made last weekend.
Royal Caribbean is always hiring.

Im going end of Oct first of Nov. Then Dec 5-7. Maybe changing those dates though because of DH work schedule change. Do you know if they AP rates during 12-17 of Dec?

We even checked RCCL's website, but they said a big ol' nada was available. But I remember that, working at amazon.com's (now-former) lesser-known Tacoma call center...we knew that we were hiring, but you couldn't tell it from the main website. But I know that DH would rather do something more computer-based than plain old customer service, so, well, maybe we won't be moving down there for RCCL. Though we did love our cruise with them!

Nice! I bet it's really easy to pick up tie-dying in Eugene, with the hippie retiree population (my mom was a retired hippie, rather than a hippie retiree, so she did NOT live in Eugene) AND the college students...
