We are going as a party of six. I was wondering how many others will
be at the table.
Also what time is the breakfast seating if you have the 6pm dinner seating?
IS there other options for breakfast?
Heather

We are a family of 4 & we were seated by ourselves. The other tables I noticed usually had 8 people at the table. I would guess that you will be seated with just your party.

The only scheduled breakfast is the character on the 7 day cruise. The other days you can order room service, buffet at topsiders, or open seating at the designated restaurant. If you don't want to do the character breakfast the other options are still available.

Tables range in size from 4, 6, 8, 10 and some 12 and 14. OUr family of 3 has been seated with no one else; with a family of 4; at a very large table.

The other required time for breakfast is the last day, although you can opt to go to topsiders for buffet. For 6 pm seating, I think the last day breakfast is 6:30 am (not positive--I've only done late seating)

Our family of 3 was seated with another family of 3 and 2 other ladies.

I was wondering about this too as we're on the Magic next week. I called reservations and the service rep told me that tables are 4, 6, or 8. We are a family of 4, traveling with another party of 3 so I asked, kind of tongue-in-cheek, if we would just be at an "8" table or if they'd seat a single person with us. She was "noncommittal" (to put it nicely). :-)

I see by another reply above that tables can have even more than 8? I'm assuming this might be large groups who request it?

6:30! Oh my....
What time is the character breakfast??
I think it is fun to sit with other people so it would
not bother me a bit!
Maybe a nice 60ish year old for my Mom:)

We traveled with two other friends, so there were four of us and we thoughth we would get our own table. We ended up at a table for eight, so you never know until you get there. We ended up having a great time with the other people at dinner.

We've been seated at a table for 12 when it was just our family travelling together--we just requested our reservations be linked.

There was another time when we were seated at a table for 13-14--9 in my family and 4 in another family.

I can't remember the times for the character breakfast--maybe 8 and 9:30??

FYI, if you want to be seated with your other party call DCL & link your reservations. Not sure if you knew about linking reservations...

We did know about linking reservations and I think that's why I was confused by the response I'd gotten. We weren't worried about sitting with other people too...just wanted to make sure our group was together. The rep at Disney didn't even look us up. I guess if she had, she'd have known it was a linked reservation and given me a different response. Maybe she'd already answered that question 500 times that day for others and was a bit weary of it. Hey, we all have our days.

I'm so very grateful for this board. We're new to all of this (cruising anyway) and I feel so much more prepared after reading and taking the advice I've read here.

Can you request that your family of 4 be seated alone?

Yes, tell your travel agent to make the request for you then check dining changes upon boarding and make sure they did it..if not tell them again and they will most likely change you.

DCL has different table sizes. You can request a certain size table. We have already requested our table size, but at two weeks out you can normally request a certain table. I am going to request a window table this time. Last cruise we had the worse table in the room. It was so bad it was horrible at every place we ate. We booked our last cruise just days after it became available to book so I was very disapointed in the sitting. Our servers were great though!
