The exact number is an unknown including because two years ago DVD converted some savanna views to standard and how many were actually converted is not clear. However, the total for both buildings combined is likely in the 105 to 115 range or about 24% of all rooms, with about 60% of those being lockoffs that can also be reserved as a studio and 1BR; all at Jambo are lockoffs.
In any event, be aware of the following. Unlike other resorts with room view classifications where standard views usually fill long before preferred views do, the AKV standards are usually still open even after the savanna views (about 70% of the resort) are filled. Jambo standards fill before Kidani, both are open at 7 months out much of the year but Thanksgiving time is one of those times that 2BR standards have some risk of being filled before 7 months out, particularly at Jambo and somewhat at Kidani. Moreover, the later you attempt to reserve time in that week at 7 months out the higher the risk becomes. For example, for both 2013 and 2014, you could have gotten the entire Thanksgiving week in a 2BR standard at Kidani, but not Jambo, if you reserved 7 months out from the Sunday of Thanksgiving week, but if you waited to reserve at 7 months out from the Wednesday, you would have found the Wednesday and Thanksgiving night already filled for both buildings.
