How many Airport food courts only have plastic sporks?

Last Thursday when my family and I were flying home from Tampa - Toronto we had lunch at the Popeyes in the gate area. Anyway I noticed instead of them having plastic forks and knives they only had plastic sporks, which were not really that good to use. So I am wondering are there other Airports that are now using these or is it just in Tampa?

Every Popeyes I've ever eaten at has sporks.

Well next to it was a location called Flatbreadz and on the other side was a Chili's To-Go, so these Sporks weren't specific for the Popeyes.

MCO had plastic forks and knives on Saturdaythe 2nd of Jan and PHI had plastic forks and knives on Monday the 28th of Dec.

Eearly December we flew r/t BWI to Michigan and both airports had plastic knives and forks. In fact we ate at a pretty nice Mexican restaurant after we cleared security in Michigan and they had real knives and forks.

i love a good spork. sporks are underrated as eating utensils. if more people would just use the humble spork, the world would be a much better place. in fact, i heard that christopher walken said more spork, before he said more cowbell. its true.

Is it really that important? Perhaps you can email some other airports and take a poll.

Actually=-sporks are the perfect eating utensil for Popeyes

Fried chicken should be eaten with your hands-and all the side dishes at Popeyes are perfect for a spork (cole slaw, mashed potatoes, dirty rice, red beans)

I think some of the other places that need a knife (like the Chili's) may give their customers utinsels at their counter, perhaps

I heard that the new security regulations will require all utensils be taken out of the airports and off of the planes. You will be required to eat as they did in the time of King Arthur, with your hands.

I think in the time of King Arthur one used a dagger in combination with your hands. Perhaps they will not bring back that element of the tradition, however.

I would imagine that it is a cost saving measure...much cheaper to make a spork vs a fork and a spoon.
One can always travel with their own plastic utensils if they are concerned about having to use what they consider to be substandard utensils along the way.

Imagine eating a steak at the Outback in MCO using a plastic fork and knife. It isn't easy, but doable.

I believe you are correct; they did have an eating knife of some sort to augment the use of their hands. I think they are exploring the use of a cardboard knives to help you corral your food and keep it in the rubber serving trough they will be using instead of plates.
