How low will Disney let Poly go?

What’s your guess? I’m hoping to find a 120 point contract for $125 and get it to pass 😬 but I also can’t imagine disney letting poly go for under $130 pp for small contracts. Do you think DVD will start executing ROFR on Poly soon?

When own AKV and stay at Poly all the time. It’s really not that hard to get rooms there at 7 months unless your trying book a major holiday week. Make sure to consider that when trying to own there.
Really? That’s surprising! I figured the bungalows would make Poly studios hard to get. We typically travel either in late May/early June, Sept or October

Until DVD direct sales restart the chances of ROFR are quite limited, there may be a level where DVD is willing to take points into inventory without a sale prospect.but I would be very surprised if they gave any thought of ROFRing Poly over $100 at this time

Also since DVD can subdivide larger contracts they do not consider small contracts as having the same premium as we do

I would not count on this. There is going to be excess points in the system its hard to tell what that will do.

Could change nothing but it could escalate how quickly resorts start booking up.

The months you listed are some of the months when 7 months is the easiest. Since it’s basically all studios there is a much larger potential inventory. You make have to pay lake view points, we rarely do though.

if you aren’t an owner there are a few paid sites out there that we can’t list here that let you view actual availability. It may be worth your while to check one of those out to understand actual availability before purchasing.

Maybe in the short run but I wouldn’t make a 30 major purchase decision based on a years worth of extra points. That will resolve itself in very short order.

IF they aren't buying it back I do not think the price matters.

I don’t think we really know what level of ROFR will happen. But, I do think if there was a time to get something through at a lower level, it would be now and in the near future,

I am selling BWV for 115.5 with me paying all 2020 dues. It is lower than anything passed and not much more than something they took back in the past few months,

If it goes through, I think it’s a good indication that thresholds for buybacks will be much lower

Thanks for taking one for the team!! :)

Thanks! I’m waiting to hear back on a BWV offer I made two days ago but am really wanting to make an offer on something else. Hopefully it won’t be much longer

I'm all about saving as much money as possible, but another perspective... if the "perfect" contract comes along for $5 more per point, is it worth $600 more to you to obtain it?

I purchased last fall and thought about offering $2 below asking price for our contract but, ultimately, decided that it was exactly what we were looking for and it had already taken a long time for that "perfect" contract to turn up, so I paid what the seller was asking. It was worth an extra $400 to me to snag it. If you're already paying $10K-20K, you might not want to let the perfect contract slip through your fingers over a few hundred dollars more.

That said, with everything going on right now and the possibility of prices dropping, taking a "wait and see" approach may be your best bet. We're interested in adding on, but holding out to see where prices are headed.

Well, we have a budgeted amount that won’t cut into our savings or require a loan, so we are trying to stay under 16000 if at all possible

There’s currently a contract pending sale on a resale site for Poly; 160pts at $127 pp.

(I had to edit this to remove the name of the site - not sure if we were allowed to use names because I remember some avoiding it and haven’t had a minute to double check the rules)

Just include the link to any business, and you will be fine. If it shows up blocked, then the boards filter did its job!

How do you see what they are pending for? I can see pending but the price usually stays the same as when it was posted. I need to look somewhere else!
