I was looking at the long list of contracts for sale on The Timeshare Store website and I am wondering if anyone has any idea how long it takes to sell a contract using these people or any other broker. I am not looking for great detail, just an idea. Is it weeks or a couple of months or many months kind of thing. I am not going to be selling. It just has be curious, that is all.

45-90 days is typical. From offer acceptance to points available.

I think like any sale, it depends on the terms of your listing. If you are selling a loaded contract at a competitive price, it'll go fast. If it's stripped and not much of a bargain, I'd expect it to sit longer.

I should have said that I was most interested in the time elapsed from listing until you have an acceptable offer.

The contracts with more than 200 points sit longer. If they are more than 350 points they sit a very long time on the market place with the exception of VGC and VGF. Contracts for those two resorts go quickly unless the owner is really over pricing the listing.

He's asking for time-on-market, not offer-to-closing.

Of course, it all depends on the terms. If it sits on the market for more than 30 days, you need to reduce your price. Half of all contracts available have been listed for less than 90 days. There are some contracts that have been listed for 3 years.

Depends on the terms. We purchased our contract within 2 hours of it being posted.
