What is the longest you would be prepared to wait in line for an attraction?

We normally pass on anything after 20 minutes.
That being said  just a few weekends ago we stood in line 45 minutes to see Shrek at US. Nice show and all. But I would have to think long and hard before standing in line 45 minutes again for any show/ride/attraction.
Even some rides are not worth a 20 minute wait.
But since we live here now, I have a different perspective, rather than someone ons a once or twice a year trip.

I personally hate to stand in line, but when the fast passes are gone sometimes you are forced to! Buy 45 minutes is my limit!

With FP and the proper planning, on my last 3 trips, I have never stood in line for anything longer than 20 minutes and most of the lines were less than 10.

I would stand in line 15-30 for something I really wanted to see if I had to or to relax. Sometimes standing in line is just a nice break from walking all over the place.

I did wait 1 hr 30 minutes for Fantasmic though. I got front row center seats so it was well worth it!

We have a 15 minute rule. Good thing we go at slow times of the year!

With an enthusiastic preschooler, our limit is about 30 minutes but we will wait longer for Fantasmic and Spectromagic.

I'd rather not wait in line for more than 30 minutes. The only time I've been to US, most of the lines were about 2-3 hours long. Is there anyone who will actually wait that long??? I was shocked. I'm going to WDW in Nov. with my dd3 and I have a feeling she won't want to wait longer than 5 minutes...if that. Wish me luck. ;)

Probably no more than 60 minutes for a good ride if we couldn't get a fastpass. We always have gone at spring break so we expect the crowds. My daughters have always been great about waiting in line, even when they were little. They're disney addicts so they've accepted that's what you have to do.

No more than 45 minutes. Though normally we go off-season so it's not really an issue. I think the longest wait was probably one hour to see Fantasmic, and that was only because we were leaving the next day, and that was the only time we would see it. We have three kids (9,6,4), and although they are fairly patient, I can't see standing in line that long, unless absolutely necessary. It would have to be the exception, not the norm going from attraction to attraction with wait times like that.

I generally skip anything longer than 15 minutes (unless it is the next show for something like WWTBAM), though I will wait longer if seated (Fantasmic, for example). My last few trips have been solo, so it is very easy to just come back another time. Plus I have been lucky enough to go to the World a lot, so if I miss something, it's not a biggy since I have been on most everything many times and it's something to look forward to on the next trip. I also try to go at slower times, so the lines aren't long and I use Fastpass whenever possible.

i hate waiting in line, so we usually go during off season :teeth:

however, i have waited 3 HOURS to ride the 'top thrill dragster' at cedar point last june. during that time it broke down 4 times but i still managed not to chicken out.

it was worth every minute of that wait...check it out at www.cedarpoint.com

Only for Dumbo! I try to get to it first thing in the morning, but if there is a line, I will wait 45 tops. The things we do for our kids!

I remember those Cedar Point lines, I used to live in Indiana and Ohio, and that was the closest theme park. But there's no way I would wait in lines like the ones there ever again, that was just absurd. Pretty much 2 hours+ for any popular thrill ride. I remember everybody would gear up before each line....go to the bathroom, get a drink or a little something to eat, and prepare for the long haul. A 2 or 3 minute ride just isn't worth that anymore, especially when those Cedar Point rides don't even have the Disney theming!

I wouldn't stand in line for more than 45 minutes. I don't want to waste my money just to stand in line for hours and hours and then the ride only last about 3 minutes.

Staying on site at Universal is a must for us!! FOTL! No waiting in line! The most I have waited was about 15 minutes for the most the more popular attractions. It's the best!

We seldom will wait longer than 30 minutes. We plan our day before entering the park to hit the big attractions first, and even plan the fastpass rides as best we can.

Some of our friends laugh at our detail typewritten plans. Yet when we tell them all that we accomplish in a day, they are amazed.

The real test will come next week. MK hours have been exteneded which means the Hotels must be close to capacity. We will see how our plans stand up this time. Our rule of thumb we do not line up for most major attractions between 11:30AM and 5:30 PM, unless we have a fastpass. There are many other things you can do in that time frame.

20 minutes is our limit. If the line is longer and all the fastpasses are gone or too far off, then we skip it. This is why we haven't rode Splash Mtn yet - maybe this trip. It's also why we haven't seen Fantasmic yet, but we plan on doing the dinner package this time so hopefully I'll finallly get to see it.

Our philosophy is, we're on vacation and there's so much to see and do at WDW there's no reason to wait in long lines. DH and I both remember the days of going to King's Island and waiting in line for hours. It was pure misery, and we refuse to do it again. Unfortunately we have to go during busy times (school-age children) but between EMH and Fastpasses we do a pretty good job of seeing most of what we want without waiting in line. :D

On NYE in Epcot when there were record crowds .... I waited 2hrs and 30 mins to ride Test Track...it was better then getting bumped by all the people walking around the parks...:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Thanks for the replies.

I think we persevere and wait longer for certain attractions as we don't visit WDW too often, not by choice of course! It's always lovely to just walk straight on with little or no queuing though. :D

I will wait no longer than 30 minutes, EXCEPT for Fantasmic. I got there about an hour and a half before the show started; I was glad I did!
