How long will we wait for A&E if we run at rope drop?

I am hearing rumors that there are no fast passes to be had for Anna & Elsa for the days we are in MK (we can book at midnight!). How long should we expect to wait if we go there first after rope drop?

please note there are not EMH on our scheduled days.

Thank you!

Also if I run and DH catches up with the kids in the double stroller does that violate line etiquette at Disney?

Running at Rope Drop isn't permitted.

The DH catching up with the kids and cutting, is and isn't good etiquette. You'll find this a very touchy subject. I, personally, am in the belief of, if you all can't get there together, then you wait at the back.

But there have been changes to the process of getting down Main St. to where CM's lead the way and you CAN NOT go around. You can't cut through the shops, NOTHING.

So be careful of what you think "running" is.

Also, check into the thread about the possible FP+ only with A&E...

There's lots of homework to do dealing with these 2...

So far, the standby-less queue was just a three-day test. Things have gone back to normal standby today.

Also, it was never FP+ only.

How long is the stand-by line just after rope drop? Is it better to go first thing or wait until later in the day (dinner time)?

Why not just get a CRT ADR and leave the restaurant just before park opening to get of the front of the A&E line?

This doesn't work. With the new rop drop procedure, people have reported actually not being allowed to go until after the regular park crowd have already gone through.

Even at rope drop, the wait times is 2 hours+. As other people have said, running isn't permitted. Currently Cast Members are walking the crowd up Main St and most people are headed to Anna and Elsa or the Mine Train. The wait times are often highest during the first few hours of the park being open. The past few days they have been doing a test where the stand by line is cut off once the wait has reached a certain wait and tickets were handed out with return times. It's only a test and may or may not continue.

If you are in the parks late, Anna and Elsa should be out until 30 minutes before park close.

What is the RD time on an EMH day? Couldn't get FP+ so planning to head there first thing on EMH day (we are on site). Does this sound like a good move?

Yes. As has been pointed out, you won't be allowed to run anyway. It is bad form to go into a line and then let other family members catch up to you. Most queues it is very hard to do without trampling other guests.
