How long will we be at DVC Office?

We expect to sign when we visit WDW in Sept.
Our guide should have everything ready for us, paperwork, ect.
How long does this process usually take?
1 hour? A couple hours?

It's been over 6 years since we bought - but it took us about an hour. The guide didn't have to offer any presentation - we just had to do the paperwork. But, we hadn't told her ahead of time the number of points we wanted, or even the use-year (back then - we could choose whichever we wanted). So they didn't print the docs until after we got there - and it still only took about an hour...

I miss the Commodore House - that place held great memories for me...

If you have number of points and all paperwork ready about an hour. we did it in june it was about an hour. goodluck and an early welcome home.

It's sort of up to you - if you tell them right up front that you plan to buy, I'm sure it will go much faster! When we went last year, our appointment info. said "allow 90" minutes; we were there for 3 hours! Even though we were pretty sure we wanted to buy, we still allowed our guide to give the full presentation and gave no indication of our intent until he came back from our
"time alone to discuss". It was kind of fun making him earn the sale Natt

Our original tour took about 90 minutes, and we did the paperwork from home a year later. I too miss Commodore house. The great ice cream sundaes etc!

If you are certain that you are going to buy, i.e you don't need convincing, then it should be between 60-90 minutes. I am with Natt, my DH and I wanted to tour, but we really needed to see that it was going to be worth the money spent. So we were there for 3 hours also.My kids loved it, they got to play in the playroom for that long ( They LOVE playrooms, LOL)

If you have not done much research on DVC, I wouldn't recommend rushing. Make sure you cover all the bases, the guides are pretty good when it comes to determining if DVC is for you based on how often you like to travel to Disney. We were definite DVC canidates! LOL We just needed proof that spending the money on DVC would be less than if we travelled every other year as a family of 5 paying cash. And it was! We have two trips planned within 6 months of each other. We would not be able to do that if we were paying cash!

Last time I added on was at BCV. My guide knew what I wanted in advance, and had the papers all ready. I just went in to sign them. Probably didn't take more than a half hour.
