I have not found the answer by search, so thanks in advance for any help!

We are staying at Boardwalk in June and are doing one night/ two full days at Universal that week as well. We also have four nights at AKL for the second part of the Disney stay. I am trying to figure out whether it would be easier to leave our stuff in the room for that night and keep the room at BWV and take just toothbrushes, etc. to Universal, or to plan on being at Universal for directly between the two WDW bookings, which would mean we would check out of BWV and use the luggage transfer service to AKL.

The problem with this scenario is that I am not sure how long they will be willing to hold our luggage at AKL, as we would not be arriving there until the following evening- roughly 36 hours after checking out of BWV.

I can't call Guest Services to ask as I don't have a long-distance plan to the US, so I'm hoping somebody might have experience with this...? Obviously, I would rather not pay the points at BWV if we are not using the room, so option #2 is preferred. Thanks in advance!

They won’t hold it for that long. You depart the hotel and you have until midnight of that day to leave the property and this includes your luggage.

You are going to have to bring your luggage with you to Universal for the stay, then bring it back for the 2nd part of your WDW stay over at Animal Kingdom.

Wow, thank you so much for the quick reply! It might be easier to keep our room at BWV then and book Uni accordingly. I really appreciate the help!

I don't know if that is entirely true. It was definitely not our experience. In 2017, we stayed 1 night at WL, took a 4-night cruise, and then stayed 5 nights at AOA. The Bell Services at WL offered...THEY offered...to move our bags to AOA and then Bell Svcs at AOA delivered them to our room. So, perhaps Cranky Dad has had a different experience or my scenario is different than Pangyal, but it might be worth asking Bell Svcs at Boardwalk when you get there.

Might be because your total time was all through Disney (resort, cruise etc)?
