How long will holiday decorations be up?

Hi! I am an avid Disney fan, but now live out of state with my family. We have not visited in January in many years, but have a trip planned Jan 2-8, and my son will be running in one of the marathon events. I have a feeling holiday decorations will start to come down that week, but any advice on how long they are usually up? Particularly the big tree and castle lights at MK, and Osbourne Christmas lights. Trying to strategize what park to visit what day to see the best of the best!! Thanks!!!

We've never been there that week (always before Christmas) but if I had to guess the lights would still be up for at least the first week of January.

We were there for marathon week a few years ago and the decorations in the parks were pretty much down by then. There were still some decorations up at the resorts though.

When I went on my honeymoon that week in 2010 the castle lights were on the whole week! We also got to see the Osbourne Lights earlier in the week so you should be fine. It is gorgeous, enjoy!

The Christmas decorations usually start coming down about January 3 and are usually all down by January 5. The Osborne Lights at DHS end on January 3, 2012.
