We have booked CP for 8:05 am when the park opens at 9. Will we be done by 9, or should I send DH for fastpasses for BTMR while we finish up? :thumbsup2

We always eat there at teh first seating and have always gotten thru before park opening at 9am..its a good time to get castle pics with no people!! Just go to the area you want to be at first and wait there for rope drop.

We were not done by 9 am. We had to see the chef and we took our time checking in for the ADR as we were getting photos taken by the castle.

Ask for the bill early and then you can help speed up the wait for it later.

It depends how long the characters take to come around to your table and whether you want to see every one of them, or just a selection/certain favorites. (Some people don't really care that much). You should be done in an hour, but there is never a way to be certain. Check in at the podium in good time.

We were just there a few weeks ago. We had a 8:45 reservation. We got into the park at about 8:20...and had a terrific time taking pictures of our DD infront of the castle. We were there about an hour- but we could have been faster. The charatcters came quickly. You should have no problem being done in an hour or less.

We've had the 8:05/8:10 ADR and been at rope drop by 9:00, and we've had the 8:05/8:10 ADR and wandered Main Street, take castle pictures without anyone in the background, etc and not even checked in until after 8:30 (and wasn't even close to rope drop).

So you CAN make rope drop, but we like to take advantage of an empty Main Street instead.

we were just there in May 2010 -- had an 8:05. They let us in to the park at about 7:45, took 10 min. to walk up Main Street, time to snap a few pictures. We checked in just a minute or 2 before 8:00 and were seated by 8:05. We saw all the characters (party of 3 adults, no less) , had a great breakfast & we were out of there by 8:45 or so...took 40 min. start to finish to eat. Now the place wasn't even 1/2 full when we left, so that might have made it all quicker, but the characters were actually making a 2nd round when we left.

Even though you're in the park, they still have a "rope drop" inside the park -- you're not allowed to wander over into any of the other lands ahead of the rest of the park-goers. Even in Fantasyland, you can walk through the castle, but they have a rope across the walkway to Fantasyland and you have to stay there until the park is officially open...CM told me they actually drop the ropes inside the park a few minutes after the park officially opens so people don't have a huge advantage over those at the outside ropes.

We were there a god HOUR. Depends on characters, some past us by and we had to wait for their next *go-around*.
