How long was your wait to get onto ME?

In most of my trips, the line to get onto ME was short, maybe a wait of 15-20 for bus to arrive but when I went last year , Sept '12, the line was so long. We waited over an hour just to get on the bus.
So was I just lucky all those years & Sept '12 a freaky mishap or is an hour wait more typical.
How long do you typically wait to get onto ME?

That is definitely not normal. It's typically about 70 minutes from the time you get off the plane until you walk into your resort.

We've had it both ways; around an hour or get right on the bus with zero waiting. Usually, it's about 15 or 20 mins, I guess.

it probably depends on the time of day. we used the ME our first trip in Aug 2011. We had an early morning flight and landed a little after 10am. We walked right onto the ME bus and left just a few mintues later and was checked in at BC and in epcot by 11am.

Disney aims for less than a 20 min wait in line for the bus. Does that always happen? No. I've used DME more times than I can remember at this point. I usually have times of 15 mins or less in the bus line. But, there was one time that we stood there for 25 mins.
Then, after you get on the bus, you could sit there, waiting for others to get on. That could take 20 mins!!! If I spend less than 35 mins between the bus line and on the bus, I'm happy.
I have never been in that line for an hour though!!! That's crazy. I thought 25 mins was excessive!!

That Sept. day was weird. The lines started around the rental car desks. Most all resorts lines were quite long that day. We arrived at about 10ish. We were staying at All Stars, so that contributed some of the extra people in that particular line. Here I was, thinking Sept. was the "slow time of year". I got to talking to the people behind me, which they said they go to WDW quite often and hadn't seen such long lines before. They said they had seen a wait of 20-25 mins or so but nothing like the wait we had that day.
I hope my upcoming Dec. trip is not like that. Hoping for a typical 15 mins to get on bus plus load time & then trip time.

Yep, been there, done that. We must have bad luck on our timing because I would think more often than not we have waited much much longer than the 15 minutes. Our longest waits were when we arrived around midnight and when we arrived around noon. They told us noon is the worst time because that's when they do shift changes. Don't know how valid that is.

just make sure they put you in the right bus. They put us in the wrong line twice.
Once we got on a bus that wasn't going to BWV and the driver never listed the resorts he was going to. He had to take us there after his other stops. They even scanned our book before we got on and didn't stop us.

the other time was last May going to BLT they put us in line and we waited 45 + min to get on bus. When they scanned THE 4 OF us to get on all us good (RIGHT). My brother in law had to put bad under bus so we got on while he did that. When he tried to get on the bus they told him it was the wrong bus but yet they already scanned us and all us good(right) They had to call us off the bus and get his bag back. I told them that's the second time this happened to us . They did takes us right over to a waiting bus for BLT.
Just make sure it's the correct line so you don't wait longer them you need to.
