How Long Until May Discounts Come Out?

I was SO ready to book a May 2012 trip if the FD promo extended until then! How long do you think I'll have to wait until some kind of discount comes out for our timeframe?

My daughter and her family got free dining this year the last week in May. It included the Memorial Day weekend. I think she booked in October 2010 and the offer had been out for a while.

Free dining was available this past May 27- June 2 and it came out August 16, 2010 with the long list of other dates. It shocked me to death because we have been going that time every year for over 20 years and we have never ever gotten free dining.
We checked in June 2 and had 10 nights of free dining which saved our family of 4 Disney adults $1655. I couldn't believe it. It was wonderful and my fingers and toes are all crossed that we will have something similiar offered again. We're booked at French Quarter May 30-June 8, 2012 so I'm watching closely!!!

Wasn't there a Kids stay and Play free Promo last year? That would be nice too. I am hopeing for something soon. I really want to book.

this past May they had the free Dining at the end of May and Kids play, stay free at the beginning of the month.

I think we booked the day it came out last year around Dec. 30. It was only a 25% off room code but I got a 40% pin later. There was a free dining promo for early June that expired at the end of Dec. I believe.

I must also say that I received a Pin code November of 2010 for this past May. I recall it being for room discounts with only a few blackout dates (however, I can't recall exactly when they were). Point being, there's always hope. I'm actually waiting for discounts to come out for May as well, so here's hoping for something to be released.

I recieved a pin that included May in Nov. Gp discounts have been coming out in January the last couple of years.

Discounts are announced on waltdisneyworld.com under Special Offers. If you sign up for a cd or maps, price out packages, etc you may get postcard pin or if you've put in your e-mail you may get an e-mail offer. The special offers are usually pretty good if you see then in time and the dates work for you. Good luck!

we received a postcard in the mail with a free dining pincode for the end of may and last yr was the 1st time we didn't go in May and now we want to go may 2012 and watch we won't receive one!!! we will go anyways!

I think you are right. I am hopeful that at least by the end of December they'll have some room only discounts available for up through the the first week or two of June (like they did last year) and then as things unwind, maybe add some free dining discounts.

Right now I am booked at rack rate because I have my heart set on CSR but if no discounts come out, I'll switch to Pop or possibly cut the trip down in days. I may even stay offsite which I never thought I'd do.

That is why I don't have my ticker resort specific, because even with a reservation booked, I may have to change things up. I also have to wait and see what airfare is. So many variables to worry about!

I booked our May 2011 vacation last October. I ended up having a discount applied later. I believe the discount came out in Nov or Dec.
