How long until confirmation e-mail?

New member questions . . . I just got my member # yesterday and made my very first DVC reservation. The cast member said that I would get an e-mail confirmation, but 24 hours later I still haven't. We went through and confirmed all my contact info, including my e-mail (which isn't anything complicated), over the phone. Does it take a while for confirmation e-mails to come through? I know when I have made Disney hotel reservations, the e-mails come through right away, often while I'm still on the phone.

Is there a way for me to go onto the DVC website and see my reservations? I've had a sick kid, and we lost all our internet services yesterday due to an outage, so I haven't had time look at the website yet. Thanks for any help! I want to make sure we are there because the 7-month window opens for our trip in 2 days.

Welcome to the world of DVC, you may or may not receive your confirmation. Just login on the member website and select upcoming vacations. Take some time to poke around the website, it is full of info that will help you with your membership.

Thank you, Bill!

I would think you would get your confirmation e-mail by now, but agree with Bill that it doesn't always happen. Also agree just log onto your account (or set it up first if you haven't) and you should see it there. My trips/changes have always shown up within minutes of the change being done. If it's not there, then consider a call to guest services.

And...:welcome: to the club!

Thank you both, will check online as soon as I can. So thrilled to be part of the club!:cool1:

Sorry to ask but can you tell me when your deed showed up on the comptroller website....still waiting on my member #

Ours was recorded on 3/31 in California, not Florida, because it is at VGC (Grand Californian at Disneyland, CA) property. I called yesterday for the first time, 4/13, and my member # was there.

It can take up to two days to receive the email in my experience. It will show immediately on-line.

OK, thank you! Is setting up your online account a long process? Hopefully I can find time to do that today, between homeschooling, sick kid, dentist appointment, basketball practice . . . ;-)

So, I went on the website and entered my Member ID#, but I don't have an activation code yet. Do I have to wait until I get my packet in the mail to get the activation code?

I did get an e-mail from "Disney Destinations" today, so hopefully that confirms I have the DVC reservation. I do have hotel reservations for the same dates that I need to cancel now that I have the VGC room. But I still haven't received an official e-mail about my VGC reservation specifically with dates, etc.

You have to call and press option 6 for web department, and they will give you the activation code and access number.

Check your MDE account for the reservation.

Update: I received a "Disney Vacation Magic" e-mail from Disney Destinations, but it didn't have specific confirmation information, date or anything.

I did call today and got the info so I could set up my online account, and our reservation is indeed on there. The cast member said she would re-send the confirmation e-mail, but I still haven't received it. Do DVC members generally get an e-mail confirmation similar to the ones you get when you book a Disney hotel room? I can see my e-mail on the website, and it is correct. I've even checked my spam box online--nothing.

Yes, you generally get an e-mail with your confirmation number. At least I did get two for the split stay I booked back in February.

Check your bulk mail & spam filters. You may find the emails there. If you do, you'll have to put the sender's email in your contact list to make sure your provider lets those through rather than assuming they are spam.

You should also check your preferences and address listed in your member account.

Another FYI, MS has to push the email button for confirmations, they are not automatically sent out.

Yes, did that, didn't find anything. Do you know what e-mail address the DVC confirmation e-mails would come from? I get tons of other Disney e-mails.

Thank you for the suggestion. I went onto my account and my e-mail and preferences were correct. I did press "save changes" (even though I didn't change anything) and I received a confirmation e-mail for the "changes."
