How long to I need from drop off to enter park at HS?

If I want to be inside HS around 7:45 to get a boarding group, how much time should I plan to get through security and the tap-styles? We would either arrive by Disney bus or Uber/Lyft depending on what time we will be ready.

at least 15 minutes, many people are arriving earlier and the entrance is opening around 7am so at that time you shouldn't encounter the tapstiles backed up at all, bag check maybe 10 min max

I’ll go a step farther and suggest that you plan on going into the park by at least 7:30 .
You never know if you’ll encounter unanticipated delays.
And, yes, I would call a Lyft or Uber (whichever is having a "sale" while you are there.)
Better to be far too early than one minute too late.
