Had a myw package booked direct thru disney and cancelled it yesterday online after finding a much better deal thru a ta for the same time frame. Roughly how long should it take to have that credited back to the debit card I used, I've seen reports ranging from 7-10 days. Thanks in advance

I have seen refunds within 2-3 days of cancelling, but it varies and can take longer as it depends on your bank and how fast they process it.

I just cancelled mine on Monday. I had paid about $400 already into the package. I made a bunch of small payments here and there. I got back $172 this morning. I'm hoping more (or the rest) will be there tomorrow or Monday.

We've paid 1600 so I'd hate to think there going to release it little by little. I'd be willing to just wait a little and get it in one lump amount.

We had the same situation come up last month. I canceled with Disney on a Wednesday and my Disney Visa was credited on The following Tuesday. I had 2 separate payments I had made weeks apart. I was refunded in 2 separate amounts but both were credited to m Visa on the same day.

I cancelled a room only reservation last Wednesday (Feb 3) and I got the email from my credit card issuer this morning that the refund posted today (Feb. 8th).

Mine took a few days. I called to ask about it and they said it could take 1-2 billing cycles. I thought that seemed extreme given that they managed to charge me instantly when I booked. I voiced my displeasure and she said there was nothing they could do. Amazingly though the credit came through later that day,

It really varies and often comes in installments of whatever payments you've made. We had to cancel a trip last January and paid about $3,000 toward it. It took about 2-3 weeks to see all of the money refunded back in installments. Our first credit back was 3 days after the cancellation. We asked about getting the amount back in one lump sum and were told that wasn't an option at that time.

The 1-2 billing cycles any company talks about is referring to the cc or bank. There are cc companies and banks that take ages to post.* And the refunding company can't help that. But the reality is that nowadays youve generally seen a sign of the refund sooner than that. They are just covering their rears and setting expectations that will make you happier in the end rather than more irritated.

* when I worked for Amazon I ordered items and sometimes needed to return them, so I could see how my own bank dealt with it vs my customers' banks and cc companies. My bank was lightning fast. Some others were slow as molasses. Some were the same as my bank, others were in between. The time it took on our end was the same (we clicked the refund button or the fulfillment center employees did and it was automatic from there) but the time once that was done varied quite a bit.

We booked a room and when we changed to a package they had to credit and recharge the deposit. It took about 5 days before I saw the money in my account. I had booked 2 rooms and they did refund both on the same day. Good luck!!

28 days and counting... lol. First they told me it could take 10 business days, now they've changed their stance and said it could take one full billing cycle lol
