OK...I'm sure you are all sick of my birthday-related questions by now, LOL, but I am getting down to the wire and still undecided!!

I thought we were settled on Cafe Orleans, I even made a reservation today for a 6:30 dinner, thought the Mickey Beignets would be cute for DD's 5th birthday.

But then I kept poking around and I am wondering if PCH grill would not be a better choice for her birthday dinner? I feel like it has more variety/more things my kids and others in our party would like...and I also heard/read that they offer a "Birthday Bucket" ($20) and a "Birthday bag"($5). I *think* the Birthday Bucket is the single serving cake in a princess or pirate container that is offered around the park, but what is the Birthday Bag???? It says you get a cupcake, balloon, party hat, puzzle, and a character to help you blow out the candle???! For 5 dollars???? That seems crazy cheap. Anyone know anything about this at all???

FInally, if we were to decide to do her dinner at PCH Grill, how long would it take us to get in to the park from there? What would be the fastest/easiest way to go? We do have a pass for that day and would like her to be able to be in the park as much as possible after the drive down!!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

It's probably a 10 minute walk to Disneyland cutting through the Grand Californian. A little less of a walk going up through the parking lot behind the AMC movie theater to the Downtown Disney monorail station - but could be more time depending on if you have to wait for the monorail (just got back from a 4 night stay at PPH).

I have never heard of the birthday bag--I'd call them and ask to confirm. I'm not sure what they mean by a "character" but I have a very hard time believing they'd bring out a character to you for $5. And I think the "birthday buckets" are the previous incarnation of the birthday cake in a box they have now, so that all MIGHT be outdated information.

I've also heard rather mixed reviews of the PCH Grill, myself...are you just going to the parks for 1 day? If so, I'd make every effort to stay in the parks all day long. I'm not sure about your daughter but I know when I was a little older than her, I would've rather been running around the parks than having a sit-down birthday meal, LOL.

Have a great trip!

We will be there for 5 days, but yes, we do want to spend as much time as possible in the parks :)

If you have 5 full days, then nothing wrong with spending some time away from the parks. I just don't recall many (any?) people raving over how great the PCH Grill is...I recall a person or two liking it, and at least one or two not liking it at all. :confused3
