How long to get from 7DMT to Biergarten?

I'm looking through this. Some of the EMH hours have changed. They now having evening EMH at HS on Friday. So if ds and I go to HS that evening and do either SWG or Fantasmic, that could be really cool. Then we could stay and be wild and re-ride rides, hehe. Oh, then it would be ok to be doing like 1/2 day somewhere else, because we could bang out more into the evening! He's a night owl, so he'd be fine with that. And we'd sleep in Saturday.

So evening on Friday at HS. But then how do we make Jedi Training? Surely the WHOLE day there would be overkill.

Keep in mind that for the 2 hours of PM EMH, virtually every guest in the park will be lined up for TSM, ToT and/or RnRC.

Ok, weird question.
1. Can we split up and send say dh to HS to sign ds up for Jedi while the rest of us go to a different park? Then we could hop from that other park over to HS when we were done with the first park. Does ds have to be present to sign up for the Jedi Training?

And good point about the broken yeti.
2. I think ds will just like the sensory input of the fast ride. I doubt he cares about the story particularly.

1. Any member(s) of your party can go anywhere in WDW separate from any other member(s) of your party. (Under-age children can't go solo.)

2. A great coaster, with or without yeti motion.

HS and Epcot side entrance are kinda close or connected by boat, yes? So like if we started at HS, went to Epcot, then went back to HS in the evening, is that crazy?

The OLP transportation wizard says 13 min. That doesn't seem too bad. That's HS to Epcot by bus. And it's 24 min by bus from AK to HS.

I guess if we wanted to watch ALL the shows at HS, maybe it could fill a day? No clue. I've just read so many people saying they only spent 2 hours at AK or a half day at HS. It kind of pinches you to have something you want at HS in the morning and the evening but maybe not a ton to do inbetween, dunno.

Walking, average pace: 20-30 minutes.
Friendship boat: 25-35 minutes.

The "Transportation Wizard" is highly unreliable, especially concerning "time."

The actual "on the road" time between the two parks is about 8-10 minutes, or so.
But, that in no way accounts for just how long it will be before YOUR bus arrives, waits to "fill" (or not) and then begins its journey.
(Not to mention overall traffic conditions at the time you are changing parks.)
These times can vary so widely as to be completely unpredictable.

Honestly I think it's possible but like others are saying you got to haul over there asap. A tip I've learned from doing this is that fastpasses can actually let you on 5-10 minutes before your actual fastpass time. (I don't think this is set in stone but I've done it a few times). Also one time I was running late and I called ahead and they told me you actually have a 15 minute leeway after your reservation before they consider it a no show. Even then I was advised that even if I came after those 15 minutes to still show up and they would seat me at the next available table. This was when I was running from the Contemporary to Tokyo Dining and the monorail had broken down. I've also never seen Biergarten that busy so I'm sure they can get you in. I suggest calling ahead just in case and letting them know you may be a few minutes late. One word of warning the number the gave me to call was the basic Disney Dining Line and I had to go through a bunch of automated crap. It was difficult getting a live person and they then told me they couldn't connect me with the actual restaurant but that they would alert the restaurant that I would be running late.

I'm a Disney veteran.
I love the place. Have been going to WDW and Disneyland for decades.

Per trip, we spend two days at DHS.
Per trip, we spend two days at DAK.

We do not run out of things to do, and we like to do some things (and shows) more than once.

Frankly, IMO, the folks who say that there is "nothing to do" at those parks simply don't like to visit those parks.
Not a "dig." They just don't care for what's there. Folks are different, and so are opinions.

This exactly. It will be hard for anyone here to tell you if there will or will not be enough for you to do in either of those parks. I did DAK in 3 hours and DHS in 5 this past trip. However, I spent multiple days (2.5 I think?) at EPCOT (on a 4 day trip). Everyone has different preferences and interests.

I am 99% certain that your DS has to be present to sign up for Jedi Training. The CMs ask him questions to see what he can handle.

Yes, that's 100% true.
When I read the original question, I mistook the "HS" abbreviation as meaning the "son" in question.

It doesn't change the "party can split-up" situation, but HOW the party splits can affect what can and can't be accomplished, depending on the plans involved.

Thank you!!! Disaster averted, mercy.

And what y'all are saying makes sense, that it's more a question of what we want to do rather than what people in general like to do. And not having been there yet, we don't know what we'll want to do, lol. I just having this feeling there will be things that surprise us.

First time visits will be chock full of surprises. I would just caution you not to dampen the experience by spending too much time in transit between parks. Especially if the travel is based on meeting deadlines. This can add a whole lot of stress. I experienced this first hand in the early days of my visits.
