How long to get approved for a Visa?

I applied for a Visa two weeks ago and am anxious to see if it got approved. I normally wouldn't worry about approval, but in this economy, who knows what is going on with banks and credit cards.

I applied for another Disney Visa, and had the card in my hand less than a week later. I also applied for my parents, and they had theirs in less than a week also. We are both already customers of Chase - we both have their credit cards - that could have something to do with the quick turnaround. We both got the cards for the free $100 gift card.

I got mine in 9 days. I applied for the $100 rewards offer. I also have another Chase credit card,not sure if that makes it faster.

I usually get approved right away online however Chase needed to verify information before they approved me. They called me 2 days after I filled out the online app and I received the card a week later.

I only got it to get the free $200 disney dollars.

No I didnt I read about it online and called them after I was approved. The rep said they would look into it and I received a letter a few days later that they would post the disney dollars to my account after the next billing cycle. I checked today and I had them.

You could always call and ask and see what they can do.

Not evil at all if used correctly. The benefits and convenience are fantastic! We use our Disney Visa to pay everything we can. (too bad we can't pay our mortgage with it). We pay it off online weekly. We have racked up alot of points and are saving them for our 2011 trip to the world and cruise on the Dream. I love my Disney Visa.

I'll gladly call and see if I can get the offer added, since I am a brand new applicant, but if I had information about what exactly these offers were and/or where they were advertised, I'd be better informed. Thanks for any tips about where to find this information!

There was a link to a $100 bonus offer posted here on the Budget Board in early March, that's the one I applied for and was approved.I called Chase Disney Rewards directly a few weeks prior and they told me there were no offers available unless you received the targeted offer via US Mail.

Wow, thanks for that advise. I do use credit cards but pay them off every month. I haven't carried a balance on a card, ever. I think I am a responsible adult and know what I am doing.

I applied online two weeks ago. I get the strong impression I will be denied. That totally sucks! I have great credit, no late fees or anything. Grrrrr.

We applied for the disney Visa to get the $200 GC as well. We already have the disney visa, but couldn't pass up that deal. We received our card less than a week later, and our $200 points are already waiting for us. It was a deal we got in the mail.

It will come really quickly. I think I had mine within 3 or so weeks after my first purchase. I don't even think the first billing cycle had posted yet.

To the OP, I applied online and had it in the mail like 4 days later. It came incredibly fast. Hopefully there is just a hold up for some reason and yours is on the way.
