How long should I plan on Tomorrowland taking?
Space Mountain
Speedway
People mover
Laugh Floor
Toy Story
Astro O
Carrousel of Progress

Assume a FP+ for space.
Assume there at RD.
Going end of August so moderately busy.

Also how long did/does your family spend there? Do you RD this section? Visit at night? Randomly fit in the attractions between FP+ windows? Riding CoP 10 times :rotfl:

By Toy Story, did to mean the Buzz Lightyear ride? The problem with your list is that 2 of the rides, Astro Orbiter and the Speedway, build up really awful, slow moving queues early in the day. It's just the nature of such slow loading, small capacity rides. Without those, and with a FP for SM, if you hit Buzz right at RD you could see all of those by lunch. Have a look at easywdw.com. The cheat sheet for MK has a pretty good touring strategy for each land.

We usually hit Tomorrowland right at RD on one of our MK days. I hate walking any more than necessary, so we do one land at a time and then move on. We will come back at the end of the evening (during the parade and Wishes to do re rides standby. Or we might come back for just a couple of re rides if we have a 3rd MK day scheduled

CoP 10 times? You would never get the song out of your head :rotfl:

If it were me and I was focusing on Tomorrowland I would...

Space Mountain (or whenever you FP+ is) (3 minute ride)
Astro Orbiter (2 minute ride)
Speedway (5 minute ride)
Buzz Lightyear (5 minute ride)
Monster Inc Laugh Floor (10 minute show)
Carousel of Progress (20 minute show)
People Mover (10 minute ride)

Est time spent... 100 - 120 minutes (50 minutes attraction time plus walking times plus waiting time)

Typically we hit the popular rides at rope drop and save the less popular ones for later in the day, but then you are doing a ton of walking.

If you are using a FP+ for Space, then I would ride Buzz, Astro Orbiter, then Speedway right away at rope drop. You could also potentially ride Space, Buzz, Astro Orbiter, Speedway and then get another ride in on Space with the FP+.
People Mover, Laugh Floor, and CoP could be done at any time.

We went over Christmas week and what worked well for us was to rope drop Tomorrowland (we did not do Speedway as youngest is 11). We rode Space back to back, then Buzz and Astro Orbiter. Then we headed for Fantasyland. We used our FP+ for things in Fantasyland. (Mine Train, in particular)

We returned to Tomorrowland later to finish the anytime things.

One of our MK mornings I have set aside 2.5 hours to explore Tomorrowland before our next FP+. We definitely fall into the ride every ride once category and not the ride the headliners multiple times. Trying to find a safe estimate of how many of those attractions we could get through.

We're also a do everything once group. We did your list in 1/2 day, not at rope drop. I think you'll definitely get that all done, but do ride astro early, since it is slow loading and gets long later. FP space near the end of your 2.5 hours and yo'll see it all in that time.

We'll spend maybe two mornings in Tomorrowland on any given trip.

All the ideas above are good! Just depends what you want to get on. If your kids are older and would want to ride Space Mtn more, I would do that first, then Speedway, then SM again with FP+ later. If they're younger and would prefer Buzz, I'd do Buzz, Astro, and Speedway. Obviously do Laugh Floor and Carousel last, since they will have minimal waits even closer to midday.

I don't mind the Buzz line cuz it's indoors and interesting for kids. The Astro and Speedway lines kill me cuz they're outside and pretty unpleasant so I try to hit those early.

How long will it take? I'd say 2 hours if you just hit the rides, 3 hours if you're more like us and would do a bit of milling around in between. Maybe try to get your Space Mtn FP for around 11am (like 10:30-11:30) then you'll easily fit in all the other stuff before it.

Thank You!

We're really lucky this trip. The day we arrive we're going to spend the evening at MK and at the end of our trip we have 3 back to back MK days. With that many FP and not worrying about repeat riding I'm hoping to budget that whole last day for things we missed or got rained out of.

Sources like Easy WDW are only helpful to a certain point. How long is the ride how long are your waits...but its so hard to capture the true amount of time it takes to experience an area. Kids stopping to stare at Astro Orbiter. Grandparents pointing out and telling stories of their favorite rides. Groups debating "what do we do next".

I know for my family I have to factor in "dance party" time :cool1: because anytime my 4 year old hears music she likes... it's dance time.

Tomorrowland wasn't a must-do for us. We went over around 1 p.m. on a slow crowd day to do our Space Mountain FastPass. And we didn't end up leaving until 7 p.m.! Somehow it sucked us in and we couldn't manage to get out. We rode lots of things and met characters, etc. It was a good time.

I love tomorrowland, I personally spend a lot of time there, but if you do it smart you don't have to. First, a FP+ for Space Mountain is SUPER SMART. I know you can get in with shorter wait times typically at RD, but tomorrow land is SO MUCH COOLER at night, I mean a totally different place. You will never have to wait in a line for CoP (however, there are (I think) 5 minutes between shows), and unless the People Mover is mad busy, there is never a line for that. Also if you are doing Stitch's Great Escape and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, there is never really a line for that, but again there are 10 minutes between each show- I would ask the attendant what time the show really starts and then sneak in accordingly, as to minimize waiting. I like to get in line for the Speedway right before fireworks (if you don't care to really see the castle) because then you can be cruising in the car watching fireworks! That is truly magical to me. Then Astro Orbiter, then Buzz Lightyear, during the fireworks or a little before park close it has like a 5 minute line. Perfect!

Hope that helps. But if you do it at rope drop I recommend a totally different plan. Start at Astro Orbiter, then Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, then Tomorrowland Speedway. Then Stitch/Monster's Inc (interchangeable), then CoP, then PeopleMover. And stick in your FP+ for Space Mountain wherever it may fall.
