Working on my ridemax plan.. how long do I put in for meals? Character and non character. I have an hour in right now.. is that enough time, too much time?

I would say to allow at least an hour at the very minimum. I would say 75-90 minutes is more realistic. That may just be me, but that's what we always allow.

When we were there in January, we seemed to average about 1 hour at buffets and 1-1/2 hours at served-at-the-table meals. (That was from ADR check-in to walking out). I am not sure if it would take any longer during a busier season, or not.

I would say 1 1/4- 1 1/2 hours.
I would give 15 min. to wait, 45 min. to eat, maybe longer for characters. Another 15 for bathroom break and paying. Also remember to put in travel time. It can take us half an hour to get from the castle to Chef Mickeys.

Dinner at the Signature restaurants always takes us at least 1 and 1/2 hours.

Should note that we do a full meal--drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert. If you skip most of that, the time will no doubt decrease.

All of our meals are within the park.. we are doing deluxe dining. 4 adults and 2 kids. the younger of the 2 kids is an extreeeeeeeeeeemly slow eater and I forsee a lot of takeout containers in my future. :lmao:

I hope your plan works out. I just got back Sat and we stay full week(7) days. Some meals u can eat in 40 min. some over 1 hr easily. Ridemax to be a priority u may be disappointed. You want to ride but u will get hungry and have to eat. There are so many variable to come in to play. Believe me.

We have two extra days that I am not scheduling w/ Ridemax where we only have dinner ressies, so if we miss something the first 4 days, we can pick them up the last two.. I'm not worried about missing something, more about scheduling the breaks in ridemax right so that those expectations are realistic :)

In my experience, 75-to-90 minutes is reasonable. The meal itself typically won't take more than an hour, but it is common to wait for a table at the popular table service restaurants, even with a reservation. You may finish in an hour, but I wouldn't risk it if you are making a schedule.

We were there the last week of January on the DxDDP and almost all of our meals were approx. 1 hour. But we had great service and didn't have any disappearing servers and we never had to wait for our bill
