Went on the waitlist for 100 BCV points with June UY on Feb 8, 2005. Was told by my guide that I was 8th in line. I lurk a lot, but don't post much, so based on everyone who was on the add-on waitlist as posted here, I was indeed 8th (though I never added my name to the waitlist, so I wondered who else was on the list but hadn't posted here). I kept seeing others post that their points had come through, and it seemed many more than 8 Disers, so I kept calling him about where on the list I was and what the timeframe was. Finally a couple of weeks ago he called and left a message that I was next, and then yesterday I had a message that they came through.

You are on a list for a particular UY and in a supposed sequence from when you requested to be on the "wait list"..

Wish I could give you a definite process answer..but there are no written rules on how its actually done. Nor a way to confirm a "you're next on the list" answer from ANY guide.

Lets say... HA HA ..Im next on the list for a Sept UY, 100 pts.)......
I'm waiting for 100 points at a particular resort, along with 2 other people (with the same criteria) for a Sept UY. The 4th person is waiting for 50 pts. Sept UY.

50 points become available....the 4th person gets the 50....
OR
the pts. are held (somehow..by the Point Guru.. ) until 50 more become available then the 100 pt. criteria is met for the 1st person on the list...

Your guess is as good as mine???

I called my guide today thinking about getting in an add on before the price increase. There are February points available for both OKW and VWL. Those are the only two I asked about. We still haven't pulled the trigger. I need to decide in the next couple of hours!

Just thought I'd give an update since you were so kind enough to respond to my question. My sister was on the waitlist since early May and just received a phone call last night that her 150 point contract at BCV has already come through for her. She is so excited and so are we!!!

Sure. Since it's her first contract it didn't matter to her what UY she was given. It's a March UY.
