How long til things are no longer "spinny"?

None of us had any problems on or off the ship. We brought Bonine, but never opened it. What I don't understand is... why do people have problems when they leave the ship, but not while it is in ports??? I have never once read of people feeling the motion while walking around on CC or through the ports. Makes me wonder if some of it isn't psychological?? :confused3 We also have lots of family members who have cruised, and never complained of feeling spinny afterward.

I didn't feel it on Castaway Cay, nor did I feel it right after I got off the ship. It wasn't until later, late that afternoon or evening that I felt anything. But I'm still feeling it. Better go take some meds!

Well, I can only speak for myself, but when we are on port excursions during cruises, we are usually in the water at a beach, or doing something active. After the cruise ends, I never feel "spinny" until I get home, usually when laying in bed that night. I'm fairly certain it is not psychological.

you have a very good point.when it happened to me before i started to take bonine when i got home. the motion will happen in the shower or laying in my bed. i guess i need to be more active when i get home.

We were on your same cruise Nove 30. The last night did me in to I actually took Dramamine that night since the bed was rocking so bad and it wasn't in a good way either. But my husband and I both had the same feelings as you for about 3 ao so days I still get it a little when in the small places since it has only been 5 days since we have been off the boat. By the way it was great to meet you on deck despite being rained out.

Eeek I didn't think this would happen on such a large ship. :scared1:

I suffered badly with the 'spinnys' and feeling sick after short boat trips off Bermuda 2 years ago, and since then I've had a brain injury and can get dizzy climbing a step-ladder.

I was planning on taking bonine on our cruise next summer, guess I need more of it or I'll end up :upsidedow !!

We got off the ship yesterday morning. It's been over 24 hours now. Things are still "spinny". When will that stop?

We were on that same cruise. That last night it seemed like they sped up to get back to Port Canaveral so we felt the motion more than any other night. But we didn't have the "spinny" after we got off the ship. Hope you are better soon.

I got off on the 29th. I was spinning until around Friday. :lmao: I think it's mostly subconscious. Once I stop spinning, I know the cruise is officially over, so I guess I try to drag it out as long as possible.
