How Long Should We Expect To Wait

We just closed on a 185 point contract through Disney on 7/1.

How long from this point do you typically have to wait until you receive DVC Members cards?

5-6 weeks at most.

We closed on our contract in May (around the 20th or so), and we still haven't received our cards yet.

I closed in Mid-May and haven't received anything from DVC yet (other than a welcome phone call).

If you are going to be at WDW prior to receiving your cards, and if you are in their system, you can then pick up your cards at the DVC office at SSR. It takes them about 10 minutes to make your cards.

We're going to be at SSR in October. If we don't have our cards yet, I'll stop by the DVC office and get our cards. Thanks for the info!!

I had forgotten about our cards and emailed to inquire.

"Thank you for contacting Member Services.

I do apologize for any inconvenience.

Our records indicate that Member Administration forgot to request your Permanent ID Cards.

Please verify your address below..."


Did that.

"Thank you for contacting Member Services.

I have requested a new Member ID cards for you. It should arrive in 3
to 4 weeks.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance."

Not a big deal, but a heads up that I better stay on top of things.

I also settled in early May and no cards, called 6 weeks ago and they said 4-6 weeks. On my call list for today after the mail arrives.

Well it seems I had an issue with my inital set-up (they had an old address), which explains why I haven't received anything in the mail yet. So you can disregard my earlier post in judging how long things might take. If things seem to be taking longer than they should, you might want to call to make sure there isn't an error on DVC's end. Apparently those things do happen.
