How Long Should I Wait?

I called my guide 2 weeks ago to get on the waitlist for more BWV points. She did not sound very hopeful that I would get them She also told me that their was no more "waitlist" for points. I asked her then how do I go about getting more from disney? She said she would put me down for the points I want and if they come in she would grab them for me.

I am wondering if I should call some timeshare resale places and get my name on a list for small BWV contracts. What do you think? Should I give Disney some time to get the points or should I go ahead and call a resaler?

If you want less then 100 points, I'd just be patient and waith for Disney to come through. It will eventually. If 100 pooints or more, I'd probably go through a resale just for the price. Just my thoughts.

We just purchased additional points through DVC for OKW in Jan. I too was told by my guide that there were no more waitlist for additional points for BWV or BCV. This confused me because of reading of other members being on waitlist through DVC since then. You must have the same guide we have. Anyway, we chose additional OKW points, and we are happy with that. Good luck with whatever you choose!

I was on the waitlist for BWV points (February use-year) also. Our initial request for another 65 points, which would take us to 305, but after consideration of everything while we were waiting, we figured 75-80 would be a better number (for 315-320). Well, I heard from our most excellent guide yesterday telling us that our 65 (and only our 65) came thru, and they were sending us the documentation. She informed me that we would need to wait on the additional 10-15. We'll live with 305, but the extra points would be handy.

So depending on your UY, they may yet come thru, and sooner rather than later. Of course there is no way of knowing. we feel lucky to have gotten our 65 more.

Thank you for the replies. Justloveit, the funny thing was she said that there were 94 BCV points that morning. She asked me if I wanted her to check on those for me (dec use year). I said no because I really want more BWV points.

I am just a little worried because she sounded so unhopeful that I would get them - ever. At least that is the way I took it. I have done add ons before and it was always just put me on the list. No big deal. But she really made it sound like they would not come in.

It sounds like waitlist is a good possibility. Maybe I'll call my guide and just insist on waitlist for BCV. Never enough points IMO. Good luck!
