How long it took you to decide on a resort?

We had such a fantastic trip with help from the online travel company. One day on a Disney bus on the way to one of the parks we decided to use the same travel agent and we are staying at CBR next time(and I hope not in another 9 yrs). We stayed at POP and it was great. It was our 4 yr old DS's first trip. He wants to go to a beach  so CBR it is :wizard: Beach to him is making a sand castle.

Have fun planning!

It took me about 20 minutes honestly. It was between the value resorts. I really wanted to go to the Movies for the kids sake but the travel agent talked me out of it. Her reasoning was that it is the last stop for the bus to pick up so a lot of standing around on the trip. So we talked about it and finally decided on POP. We are looking forward to this trip very much.

My 100th post. YIPPEEEE! :cool1:  :Pinkbounc :wave2: :rotfl:

I never truly decide. I make a reservation where I can get a good AP rate and then beat myself up until it's time to go. I eventually run out of time. My family doesn't care where we stay, they like all the resorts.

Right now we are booked for 10 nights at WL in July. I still have 67 days to change my mind 67 times.

Up until my honeymoon last year, I hadn't stayed on the property since I was in junior high. So when we decided to honeymoon in WDW, my hubby suggested teh CSR. He and his cousin had walked around there on their last trip and he really liked it. So he showed it to me on the planning video and I thought it looked great.

We honeymooned there and LOVED it. We went back there in Feb. and loved it again. We are going back in Dec. and staying there again :)

Hiya, it took us about 5 minutes to decide on the Dolphin for our honeymoon next June! We were going to stay outside of Disney, because we thought we couldn't afford any of the deluxe resorts! However we got such an amazing deal at the Dolphin that once I had been scraped off of the floor after hearing the price, we booked it immediately!! I'm sure you will have a great time wherever you end up!!!

It took me about 2 minutes -- once I found out about AKL, I never looked at anything else!
:teeth:

well, i've been planning for a couple of months and i have yet to pick a resort... i am driving myself, my dh and my travel agent absolutely INSANE!! i cannot stand it!

we have so many "parameters" that it's making me crazy... trying to please me, dh, kids... need lots of space (enjoyed two rooms at pop century last year) but want a better pool... dd/ds don't share a bed well and dh cannot share a double (he's tall and wide shhhh!) w/anyone... so that leaves us w/two rooms somewhere or a big room w/two queens and a daybed... although maybe the trundle at POR would work... or maybe the swan... right now we're booked at CR but am concerned about refurbishments (and is their pool that great?)... we're spending two nights at AKL and two at RPR (universal) but it's those darn five nights in between that are making me CRAZY!!

maybe i'll go back to my original two rooms at POFQ? although club level somewhere would be neat and fun! or perhaps a cabin at the campground? UGH @ ME!

After going crazy this trip -and in the end ended up back with our first choice of Grand Floridian I'm going nuts planning our January trip. DH is running the marathon for the first time so I'm under pressure. I'm used to a summer trip, and also my mil and fil are joining us for the first time. Trying to make everyone happy. At first I was sure I wanted WL - "wintry" feeling. After I found out that WL is a bad choice if we want to watch DH run in several places I decided on the Poly. Then I realized with in-laws here tht would give us a chance to maybe trip a moderate since we're a family of five and always go for deluxes. Right now I think we're going to do three nights at POR or POFQ (can't decide which) and 3 nights at Poly. Of course this trip was originally only going to be 4 nights but now I'm thinking I'll save money going from Poly to moderate that we can stay 6 nights. Tomorrow I might change my mind altogether. When we're there in July we're doing the POR carriage ride and going to see Bob Jackson at RIver Roost so hopefully that will help me decide between POR and POFQ. That is if I haven't completely changed my mind by then!

There is no decision to make...if at all possible we stay at the Contemporary. We had strayed from there for while staying at many other resorts but once we went back that was it, haven't stayed any where else in the last 5 trips. If money were an issue I would stay at CSR.
