How long is too long for a TA to respond

I gotta be honest, with the advent of Google, I'm not sure why people even use TA's anymore.
There's not really a need and hasn't been for quite a while. But for some people they prefer to have someone else handle it for them, sometimes TAs give baskets or the like with goodies or other types of incentives too.

Thanks everyone! To answer ^ question, I'm planning a long split stay in April 2021 with the potential for multiple rooms. It does not cost extra to use a TA and I'd like a TA who will watch for and apply discounts as they come along which I will need in order to check off a bucket list stay at the Poly. This current trip was my trial balloon to see if I'm comfortable with the TA. I hate to break up with someone - even one I've just met - but that's a personal issue :drinking:it looks like I'll need to get over. I've decided to reach out and share my concerns with the TA to see if there is a reasonable explanation. This person comes highly recommended by multiple people. I do appreciate everyone's input!

I've got a cruise booked through a wholesaler (big on-line agency) and I only use them when they have group space that's significantly less expensive than booking direct. The service is less than stellar and I do all my own research first and "leg-work" afterwards. Some of that capability is actually hampered by having to go through the Agent but I live with the irritation of that for the benefit of the price.

I used one twice while dealing with my mom being ill. I just didn’t have time, between working full time and caregiving, to watch for discounts and juggle plans. It worked out fine during those circumstances, and if I were going through similar circumstances I would do it again. Generally, though, I do my own booking.

If I emailed my agent and didn’t hear back in 48 hours, I would send a nicely worded follow up, in case the first email went astray. But I would expect a prompt response to the follow up.
