How long is the walk to DHS from Swan?

We are staying at the Swan and wanted to be at DHS at 9am, when should we start walking?
Is the boat faster?

If you just missed a boat or if there's a long line at the boat, walking is faster.

Takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk.

There was a thread yesterday where AngieTN (?) said that they found out by fluke that the boat was about 5 minutes longer to get to Yacht Club than walking. So, using that logic, you will get from Swan to HS faster by walking UNLESS the boat is right there and leaving right that minute.

Hollywood Studios opens its gates a few minutes before 9:00a unless it is an EMH morning. You should head out by 8:20 or earlier if you are planning to rope drop a ride.

Agree with PPs that 20 minutes is plenty of time. We left Yacht Club at 7:34 this morning (passing Swan/Dolphin along the way) and walked up to bag check right at 8:00, and we have some slow walkers in our family.

We can walk from EPCOT in 20 minutes. I would say the Swan is more like 10 or 15 tops unless you are moving pretty slow. I think the gates for DHS often open around 8:45 or 8:50, so if you want to be in the rope drop crowd you would want to be there earlier.

I like to enter right after the rope drop crowds, I hate waiting at the entrance
maybe I will leave ta 8:30 then
Probably take the boat not he way back, anyone knows which is the order of the stops from DHS?

Swan/Dolphin is the first stop on the way back from DHS.

We timed our walk from YC at exactly 18 minutes and that's with kids in tow. You could it faster from the swan.

Every time we left the same time as the boat, we beat it.

A few factors not mentioned above are how fast one can walk, are young kids not in strollers walking, maybe walking ability. Those items can greatly alter walking time.
