I think you'll be okay, I think they can let you get in 5-10 minutes before your FP+ window.

You can get to CRT by at least 6PM, which is fine for your ADR.

However, I must say that I'd not want to spend that much time and expense at a sit-down meal at that time of night on a party night.

I know but this is priority for DS.....hopefully we will be out around 7 ish. We are not planning any character M&G; priorities are rides and parade.

No, you won't make the SDMT. You should be checking in for your ADR at 5:30 and you won't be finished with your meal by 6:30.

Hmmm....wish it had been a 6 PM CRT ADR but booked our trip too late! How long are the SB SDMT waits during the party hours?

I got called away and just came back to see my typo.

You'd be at CRT by 6PM with a 5:30 SDMT FP+.
Many guests spend an average of 90 minutes on a character meal.

But, if you don't mind "eating up" your party time with an ADR, then have fun!

Thanks for the correction! Yes, I have a boy who LOVES getting all the princess' attention, so he requested CRT and SDMT (not open our last trip). My boys are not into character M&G (well, we plan to meet A&E, Baymax and hope to do JTA at DHS) so I booked the party for low ride wait times, holiday wishes, parade and the snow on main street! If we can squeeze in the SDMT FP+ before the CRT ADR that would be IDEAL.

in july with FP+ we walked right onto 7DMT.

you are supposed to arrive for an ADR 15 minutes a head of time to check in so you wouldn't be able to make it before you eat.

you will likely not be seated until at least 6pm and would not be done eating until at least 7pm.

i have not needed to do this but i've heard that if you have a receipt from your ADR you can show it to a CM at the FP+ entrance and they may or may not let you use your FP+ after the window has ended.

personally what i would do is try to find a slightly later ADR for CRT.

I think you'll be ok, but you'll be using the grace period. Arrive at 7DMT at 5:25pm and you have until 6PM to make it to CRT.

When we were at MNSSHP we went on it twice. Both times waited 10-15 minutes. We went with a FP+ during regular park hours and waited 45 minutes. Hopefully you will be like us and have better luck at the party without FP+. Enjoy your meal!

I would definitely try to use the grace period. We used FPs for 7DMT around 2-2:30pm twice on our November trip, and the FP wait was 10-15 mins for both experiences.

I've used fast pass for SDMT 5 times and have never waited more than 5 minutes.
It's great

We never waited when we used our FP+ for 7DMT in Spet/Oct. And the ride isn't that long either. Get there at 5:25 and I think you'll be fine.

We had a FP+ around that same time on a party night on 12/9. The FP+ window was 5:05 to 6:05 and I don't remember exactly what time we went on, but do remember that it was 13 minutes total from the time we went through the FP entrance to the time we exited the ride.

Why? There is no need to arrive early for an ADR unless you are trying to be seated ahead of time.

Matter of fact, arrive too much before your ADR and you might be told to come back.

The question should be, how much after an ADR can your party be late to still have an ADR honored?

My question to the OP, how did My Disney Experience allow for the time conflict?

But to answer OP question - 7 Dwarfs FP+ should take but a few minutes. Arrive on-time for your 5:30 FP+ and you should be on-time for your ADR at CRT. At worst, and as mentioned by Robo, you are fine even arriving 15 minutes late for your ADR.

7DMT is not far from CRT. Go at 5:25 to 7DMT- it will scan green 5 minutes before your FP+ (you could try 5:20, but then it will scan red and it will be up to the CM as to whether they let you enter-saying you have a CRT ADR might work- but it might not). We FP+ it 4 days on our last trip and we never waited more than a minute or two. The ride itself is pretty short. I think you will be to CRT by 5:45.

I think the bigger issue is going an ADR on you MVMCP night. You may very well not get out of the ADR until 7:15 or 7:30. We are usually in line to meet one of the most popular characters by 6:00 on a MVMCP night, but since your boys are not that big into characters, it won't be as big a deal to you. We did BOG at 5:30 on a MNSSHP party one time because it was all we could get our whole trip. We were doing MNSSHP twice, so we weren't too upset about not being in a character line. We got out at 6:55 and it worked out perfect for us. Hopefully it will be the same for you! Good luck!!!

OP here--Thanks everyone! If I can get another CRT time I will cancel but I have one day left to find one within the cancellation window. We will have to wing it for the SDMT FP+ if I can't find another CRT ressie. Hopefully the CM will sprinkle us with some pixie dust and let us in a few minutes early. To answer PP, the MDE/MDX shows time overlap for CRT and SDMT FP+ in my itinerary. It let me "make" the ADR even with the FP+ conflict.

We went to two MVMCPs last week- Sun and Thursday. Our parties were not crowded for most of the rides- the exceptions being the usual high priority rides. We walked on every ride that we wanted with those exceptions. I would be at 7 Dwarves 5 min early. You should be able to be on the ride within minutes. We rode 3 times with FP+ during our stay and it was minutes before we got on the ride. The ride of course is very short. With luck, that entire process will take only 10 minutes. Then walk very fast to CRT. When we tried to check in to CRT ( and BOG) last week 10 minutes early as instructed when we made our ressies, they told us to come back at exactly the reservation time, not earlier. You should be able to make the CRT ADR. Then enjoy the experience!
We were very glad that we went to the parties due to sheer number of rides that we rode. Have fun and relax!
