How Long is the Wait for FOP With FP?

We have FOP fastpasses for a window that opens at 10:40am on our AK day which was the earliest we could get. I'm wondering how long we should expect to wait in the fastpass line at that time? I'm trying to figure out what time to plan on lunch.

Thanks in advance :)

We just got back from a trip and had FP twice, once mid-afternoon and once at night. Both times, they were announcing that "due to technical difficulties, they were running at a lower capacity." Both times, it took maybe a little more than 1/2 hour from tapping magicbands to exiting to gift shop.

it was 10-15 minutes to get to the pre-show room both times I rode it last week. Both times were in the afternoon.

It is unusual for FP waits at any normally-operating attraction to exceed 15-20 minutes, including FOP.

I have rode it twice and from the time i entered the FP gate to the time I walked out was about 40 minutes.

Thanks, that was something I needed to know. The earliest I could get a FP was 3:05 on my last day, and I already had a 5:20 dinner reservation at Boma. I will be doing the rest of AK a different day.

Same for us. We were at WDW 8/13-8/20 and road 3 times. Each time was approx 40 min. All rides were early afternoon to early evening.

I wonder if this isn't quite true (yet?) for FoP? I've read a lot of accounts of 30-40min on this one so far... our experiences ranged from 15-30min -- no ride breakdowns that I was aware of.

I rode last Friday with a FP then again later with ride swap. Both took 40 mins from entering line to leaving gift shop.

I have done FOP a few times ( I think more than 10) with FP. I am normally in and out with in 30-40 minutes but there are those times it takes longer. I would not do any ADR for any earlier then 11:30 and 12 would be safer If you are talking about AK.

We rode it last week and once we entered we were on in less than 10 min.
I was surprised it only took that long as we have waited 1/2 hr for space mountain and test track with FP+!
I was actually getting a bit annoyed at the long waits, but surprisingly FOP was quick.

We did have a longer wait - there was a malfunction in one section, so they had to back people out, move them, and then load the people waiting. We were on the first floor, which is the accessible level, so it was tricky getting some of the people who couldn't go up a floor in to do the ride. Then it took forever for us to cycle through the first room. thought we were going to have to be backed out as well.

I didn't watch the time closely, but it was a good half hour before we were sent to a room - so if there is a breakdown, expect a good wait.
