How long is the average presentation?

I am going on a girls-only week in July and would like to check out the DVC situation. For myself, I am already signing the papers, but it's going to take a while to convince my non-Disney husband that DVC might been a good deal for us. He and I are going to WDW next January (he'll golf and I'll go solo to the parks) so I'm hoping I can get him to a presentation then.

DVC will work with the amount of time you have available. But, I'd plan on at least an hour, probably more like 90 minutes, just to be sure you have gotten a good feel for what you are about to spend major $ on.

Order the DVD and watch it at home between golf matches. Learn all you can about the DVC before your trip so you can reduce your time asking questions with your Guide.

Yep. I did 2 hours of due diligence the morning of my presentation (and knew very little about DVC before that) and I was done in 30-40 minutes (because I had researched the answers to most of the questions that came up during my due diligence for myself while doing my research). that's when I found this board, BTW. Never been here before that.

Took another hour to close because I decided to buy. The wife was asleep with our baby while I went to the initial presentation. I went and woke them up and told her to get dressed. We're signing. LOL

I was nice but told the guy "I've done my homework. I'm in a hurry. It's my last day of my vacation. Cut to the chase and show me the rooms."

It feels great once you buy because so many of the hassles associated with planning vacations are now history. I love it!

I had done a lot of background homework months ago and DW listened to my presentation about 10 times. We took 2 hours with Mario only because we went thru the numbers with the $10 off per point and 25% CM discount that we didn't know about 4 times ( our son is a seasonal CM after doing the fall CP). We are now waiting for our passwords to login to DVC.

We went the last day of our Disney Vacation (bad idea, because our day at MGM was cut extremely short)-
We were told it would take 1 hour, but it took us over 3! This is because after the presentation, we signed up for DVC, and the paperwork and everything else took a while. Plus, they explain everything as you go (which is fine), but for us we just wanted the bottom line.
So, if you KNOW you are going to buy it, make sure you tell them that so they don't go ON and ON and ON about every little detail-
Good luck, we are new members and excited!
