How long is the Akerhaus breakfast?

I am trying to decide if we should book the 8 am or 11 am meal with the princesses. We are planning on getting to Epcot at RD so getting there that early for the breakfast won't be a big deal. My only concern is trying to get FP for Soarin'. We are staying at the swan so we are going to have to go through the international gateway anyway.

Is there an advantage from a touring standpoint at going at a certain time? Does being there earlier mean more time with the princesses?

We always do an early breakfast there. You can finish in 45-minutes to and hour easily. The princesses don't spend a great deal of time with you, and if they come for you guys like they did us in December, we had all 4 princesses at our table within 10-15 minutes. It was pretty much one right after the other. The food is served family style and there is a small cold buffet bar with pastries, fruit, salmon, etc. If you want to finish preRD, ask for your check very early and get that taken care of before you are finished eating. That was the biggest thing we learned on our last trip. If you wait until the end, especially if you are on the dining plan and paying tips with a different card than your key to the world card, it can take a good 10 minutes to finish it all up. We would get our receipt showing what was owed, give them our card for the DP, they would bring it back with another receipt for the tip, we'd give them a CC for the tip, and have to wait for it all to come back for signatures.

Enjoy your trip.

If you can eat brkfst w/ the princesses at 8 am then you could head straight over when you are done to get the fastpasses for Soaring. The idea of settling hte check asap is a good idea. i will remember that one :)

Otherwise, get your fast passes first, then you have plenty of time to get to the 11 am reservation.

Another fun place to visit the princesses is Toon Town at M Kingdom. I think you get better / longer visits there. You just have to wait in line. Toon Town opens at 10 am and they start letting people in about 9:45. They do a little "rope drop" ceremony / opening.

We had a 8:20AM ressie but decided to switch to a later one at 10:40AM for serveral reasons. 1. I don't know if we could be done by 9:00 for the rope drop and don't want to rush anything 2. This way we can ride Soarin' and Test Track and/or get fast passes and we won't be full of food riding the rides or running to get there. 3. Hopefully with a late breakfast it can tide us over until supper (with a snack in there probably) as buffets usually keep us full for the majority of the day. Hope this plan works out well.

We always get one of the first ADRs. The past few times it has been for 8:05am, including our upcoming March trip. It usually takes us 45-50 minutes to eat and have all of the princesses come to our table. This gives us enough time to get the rope drop area with the rest of the crowd. Another reason why we like to have the earlier ADR is because we get some really great pictures of Epcot because there is no one around (except those who are going to the breakfast), so it feels like we have the park to ourselves :goodvibes

Twice we did the early one breakfast and it worked out great for us, after breakfast we went to Soarin, got FP and got in line to ride it but we went at a very slow time of year (and a very very cold time with am temps in the 20's) and the park was not busy at all
