How long is Memory Maker good for?

We're planning an extended trip this summer that will likely involve a few days on site followed by a much longer time staying off site. I'm looking at the AP rates, which come with "free" memory maker. I thought I almost understood PhotoPass+ but I'm sure I don't know all the ins and outs of MM. I see reference to a Memory Maker window, but no explanation of what that is? Will I be able to continue MM benefits after we move off site? Anything else I should be asking?

The Memory Maker is generally valid for 14 calendar days from first use (including that day), but for guests of Disney Resorts staying longer, they can extend it.

That said, this whole free MM thing is new, so I'm not 100% sure if it's only length of stay or 14 days but I'm pretty sure it's 14.

ETA: It's 30 days not fourteen sorry.

I am looking to upgrade to APs during our vacation. A memory maker being included is a pretty sweet deal for us as we always get the photopass+. The park discounts would be nice too.

Are they valid for one year after first use, or one year from purchase? I would go ahead and get that expense out of the way if it became valid the first time we used it, but not if it will expire only 6 months after our next trip.

The APs are valid one year from first use. When you purchase or renew online, you'll receive a voucher that you will present to a ticket CM at WDW to obtain your passes. You can also use this voucher to link the AP to your account.

The Memory Maker is only valid fourteen days from check-in. That is not good all year.

ETA: MM is valid for 30 days not fourteen.

Re Memory Maker - had a bit of a panic when I read the above as we plan to use it on site for 17 days. I could have sworn that it was for longer so did a quick search

"Q.

How long can I capture photos at Walt Disney World Resort with my Memory Maker purchase?
A.

You can begin capturing photos as soon as you purchase Memory Maker. Once you download the first photo—or otherwise redeem your Memory Maker purchase—you then have 30 days to capture more photos. Please remember to download your photos before they expire. "

Hope this helps!

This is a new policy. As of early April, it was fourteen.
