I finally snagged a Yak and Yeti reservation for the 27th. Yay! I have a Landry card but I read a report somewhere that someone was turned away this week, even with it, so I’m happy to have a reservation. But…. It’s at 10:30. We plan to see the 10AM LK show. This is a must do for my daughter. We won’t be getting G+ this day, so my feeling is the early show is easiest to plan for. I read It’s 30 min (pre-Covid) but also that parts have been taken out since reopening. Is it still 30 min? Can we make our ADR- or at least by 10:40? I’m still stalking and have a dining finder going for a bit later. Thanks!

According to a review of it at touringplans, it is still 30 minutes long.

Even if it's shorter, it could be difficult to make Y&Y by 10:40. We've been trapped in the huge crush of people leaving the theatre when we were in a hurry to get somewhere, and it's not fun. And that has never been during peak crowds like you will be experiencing this week.

Went on 12/14 and the show has definitely changed. Nothing in the air - no tumble monkeys or ”birds” on a wire - and no warthogs, lions, giraffes or elephants. Seemed a lot shorter, but still around 25-30 min. If seated on the right side closest to the exit, you should be able to get out quickly and get to Y&Y in 10 min. But for me, I would probably do a later show. The modified show just lacked that “something” that made it special…

Why were the modifications made to the show? Is it a shortage of available performers that can do those stunts? I remember this show was the first to return after covid but wasn't sure about the details of the changes

You won't be disappointed if you've never seen the show but for me, it was sad.

I'd go to the first show, keep my ADR and arrive a few minutes late. Have fun! 😸

Many changes were made when the show reopened. It's not a lack of performers but modifications that were made to the show. Hoping these modifications are temporary but nobody really knows. No tumble moneys, no flying bird and no audience participation.

“Social Distancing”’…performers are spaced out more than they used to be.

There was a posting the other day for something like trampoline acrobats that they are trying to hire. So could be good news. I enjoyed the show still, but I did miss the monkeys.
