Thanks in advance for the info...It is our 10th anniversary...our first time ever and i am just wondering how long is a good amount of time. We want to visit all the parks and univerals too. Im trying to plan...we cant do more than 10 days...will that be enough time? Thanks!!!

We plan one day at each park, so that's four at disney, two at Universal, a rest - travel day inbetween, and on our arrival day if it's not too late a trip to Downtown Disney. That takes up our whole week. If you go 10 days thats plenty time in my opinion.

Thank you so much for that! I am going crazy trying to plan. This is our first real vacation and so i dont want to skimp out...i want to have time to enjoy! Thanks again!

We are going for 8 days in September. We actually have an afternoon flight out on the ninth day, so you could say 8 1/2 days. Any more than that and I get antsy to get home, as much as I love WDW. We aren't doing Universal, but we are taking a day and going to Seaworld.

Enjoy your trip! :cheer2:

you need at least 6 days... one day for each park - another day for both Epcot and MK. - plus a few afternoon to rest....

so just plan your WDW trip with rest break.... and you will be fine.... :cool1:

If you only want to do the 4 disney parks, that alone will take 4 days- 1 for each park. I find that you can generally do MGM and MK by dinner time, so then during the evening you could go back to MK or Epcot, which take a little more time to cover. Now if you want to do the Water parks and Dowtown Disney, I'd add another 2 days. I don't do universal so I'm not sure how long that will take.

I usually plan 1 day for each park plus if I am going to Universal or Sea World I add days for each park. In addition I plan 1-2 days to go back to either places in the parks that I missed or that I want to see again. On these days I usually park hop in the mid-afternoon. So I would say 5-6 days minimum plus additional days for Universal/Sea World, water parks, or just hanging out at your resort.

Just as an FYI, my next trip will be 8 nights/9 days and I am only doing the parks.

Have fun!

We were just at WDW in January for 2 weeks and had a great time. Our first trip 2 years ago we went for 8 days and managed to see everything in all 4 parks that we wanted to, but were a little rushed. This year, we really got to enjoy everything, even took a couple days off from parks and either relaxed at our resort [BWV] or went to the water parks. I had never been to a water park and had such a blast I went back the next day. You can do WDW in 10 days just don't try to overdo it. Enjoy.

We went in '04 for 12 days and i found that a little too long for us. 10 days would have been just right! I'm actually starting to pre-preplan our next trip(July '08).

I don't think there is any such thing as "enough" time in Disney World....No matter how long the trip, I never want to come home at the end! :guilty:

But I say, take whatever amount of time you can and GO! :wizard: We have gone for 10 days, for 4 days and this summer we're going for 7 days. Just remember, it's impossible to do EVERYTHING in one trip, so enjoy each moment and don't go crazy rushing around.

Have a GREAT trip! :wave2:

You can live at disneyworld and not have enough time. However we stayed 11 days last trip and totally enjoyed it. We were able to rest some and still do tons of stuff. Enjoy

Well Said! I was going to say the same

Last visit was 15 days and although that is a good lenght for a holiday, I could have stayed on...

Congrat's on your anniversary. 10 days will be plenty of time to do the World. If you are staying on property you may want to let Disney know it is a special occassion. I have read posts here by others that spoke of magical experiences when they did notify in advance. (No guarantees though)
Only recommendations i can think of are a town car or limo to your resort from the airport. Any private cruise or carriage ride that allows for some magical memories. Dinner at Tony's with spaghetti as the main course. (California Grill at the Contemporary is my personal favorite) Use photopass as often as possible to capture all of your vacation and buy the cd for a lifetime of memories. Do or try at least one thing you both have never done before on or off property. Finally have a great trip and get a great seat for the fireworks at the MK. (Not to be missed)
Have a great day
and Best "Wishes" :cool1:

When I was the Magic Kingdom Club Chapter Director for The Federal Judiciary (and the Disney expert in a building with over 1,000 people) I would always tell people the one thing they would get out of their first week at WDW was an idea of what they would want to do on their next trip.

Last Aug DS & I stayed at WDW 14nights (8nights VWL, 6nights BCV so both different vacations)
This Aug we're staying 5 nights at VWL (while we do the parks), 3nights at AKL (while we do the pools, resort, chill) and 6nights BCV (where we're also planning Universal & SeaWorld)

I have never had more than 6 sometimes only 3 and that is not enough but we are 7 hrs away.
