How Long In Between Your Disney Trips??

wow, a month is a long time to spend at WDW, an awesome idea. I don't think I could ever afford that.

I have only ever been twice but it is my fav vacation spot. We went for our honeymoon in 2002(July), then June of 2003 and we have not been since, we stayed for 6 night 7 days but we are planning a christmas trip in 2007 and we will be staying for 9 nights, 10 days. I can not wait! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :bounce:

Last trip to WDW = October 2001

Next trip to WDW = September 2005

......although, I did get to go to DL in February 2005 :rolleyes1

Disney is my favorite place to visit but we don't go very often. I have been visiting WDW since I was 2 and would go every year if my DH would agree to it. The first time he went with me was in 1997 and we didn't go back until last year, 7 years later! :faint: That's the longest I've ever went between trips.

We are big roller coaster fans so we have season passes to Cedar Point and spend a lot of time there. DH and I have decided that we would love a 2nd honeymoon since we never really took a first one almost 11 years ago, sooo....we are heading to WDW in September. :teeth: This will be our 2nd trip in just a little over a year. I would love to go at least once a year from now on and maybe even talk DH into some AP's so we can go more often. :sunny:

It has been 4 years between last visit and this one.

Lately we have been to disney about every 4-6 months. Our trip in March was very relaxing, we left the kids (DS 18 & 14) at home. Our next trip in Sept will also be a relaxing one. I use to be the type up at 6am at breakfast by 7am and in the parks by 8-8:30am and run until closing. We have found that it does not matter if we don't get to see everything. Plus we are not as young as we use to be and can't keep up with that pace! There is always next time. Although our trip in Sept will include the F&W festival and I am just wondering how hectic that will be. If we don't get to see and do everything then we will just have to plan to visit again :goodvibes

We go on one vacation a year, and it's to Orlando. My boyfriend's family has a timeshare, so we stay there. They have one that is every September and one that is every other October. We went October 2003, September 2004, and we are going October this year. We love going to the Disney parks, last year we only did Disney parks. We did all 4 parks in 3 days. One day for MK, one day for MGM. Then we spent a few hours in the morning at AK, before heading over to finish the day at Epcot. We were beat by the end of those 3 days! We always try to schedule some time not at the parks, just hanging out at the pool at the timeshare, taking it easy. This year, we have 2 days left on our hopper passes, so we'll be doing 2 days at Disney and one day at Sea World. (We have a Busch Gardens near where we live and have season passes that will get us into Sea World as well). I love going to Disney, and couldn't imagine spending my yearly vacation any place else!

The last day I was in Disney World was Sept. 10, 2001. We flew home that same evening. Its been too long, but its tough. Family crises, money, not enough vacation time. I'd hoped to go back in Sept. 2005, but that doesn't look possible..but I'll go there again one of these old days :earsgirl:

We went to Disney last October, 2004 for 9 days and 8 nites. It was great. I jam-packed the whole trip with rides, parks, restaurants (heavy-duty scheduling/priority seating) and we had the best time.

BUT we were tired and needed afternoon breaks - we ended up going to the hotel in the late afternoon, shower, hang out for a bit and then go to a Disney restaurant either in the park or at AKL or another hotel (Polynesian)
and had the best time eating.....

I guess there never is enough time to stay in the parks every nite...Anyway,
sometimes on the trip, even though it was October it was still a little hot during the day and I got tired and sometimes wished I was on a beach or somewhere just relaxing instead of walking and coordinating plans all day long (up and out at 8am, home very late, 10-11pm)..

MY 2 QUESTIONS ARE:
1. Does anyone ever feel like you wished you were on an all inclusive trip relaxing WHILE you are on a disney trip?

2. HOw often in between Disney trips?? (we planned a PA trip instead of disney this november) :hourglass

My 2 Answers are:

1. NOPE

2. We tend to go about every 6 or 7 months. We like the summer, although it's hot, and we also like to hit it when the X-mas decorations are up. Disney is so magical at Christmas.

We are going again in 15 days. We were there this time last year and will be going in April or May of next year.

This will be my 6th trip since 1981 so I am not a veteran yet, but since we purchased the DVC membership we should be there every year.

:earsgirl:

1. No, at least not at this time
2. The least amount I have had between trips was about 3.5 months. I'm thinking about 5-6 months between trips is ideal though. I last went in January and by May I was aching to go again. This waiting till September thing is killing me! I will get 3 trips on this AP and then start a new AP about mid-way through my vacation.

We always relax at WDW. We hang at the pool til after lunch and then go to the parks for a few hours. We never rush or feel we must do everything. We were going every May and October. This year we decided to go in October and and in December so we can attend both parties. We are then going again in June 2006. So that is this October, December, June 2006, October 2006.

If we go anywhere else I always think... I could be at Disney. We go once a year, wish we could go more often but I haven't found a magic lamp that will let me! When we go it is for a week or more, never have enough time. Last year we were at US for 3 days and WDW for 9 days. We had never done US and thought it might be fun to try.

People at work can't understand why I want to spend my vacation every year at WDW. Cruise? Done that, prefer WDW. Over seas? Done that, prefer WDW. Vegas? Done that, prefer WDW... You get the idea :goodvibes

Well, we just got back from our second family trip with our girls (went on our honeymoon in '92 and I went twice as a kid). We took the girls in 2003 and 2005, and now DH is saying "no more...there are other places they need to see!". He does love WDW and so I'm hoping to get him there in three years this time instead of two. I think I can...the girls love it as much as I do and we'd be there every year if we could. So, I'll just read the DIS and dream of pixie dust! :wizard: I know we'll take great vacations the next two years, and I'll enjoy planning them, but it's just not quite the same as that Disney magic!

1. Does anyone ever feel like you wished you were on an all inclusive trip relaxing WHILE you are on a disney trip?

Nope. can't say that i do. we camp a few times a year while the weather is nice and they are very relaxing trips. When we hit WDW, we like to take on the "i can sleep when i am dead" approach.

2. HOw often in between Disney trips??

As you can see from my sig - we adverage about one per year(since 2000). We have gone twice per year (about every 6 months) and will do so again this year. Last year we got thrown off because of a new home and a new baby. Before you start thinking "these folks and others like them must be loaded" - we do everything we can to make our vacations as inexpensive as possible,(AP - use it for both trips, sometimes three, camp at FW, eat at campsite or pack for parks, bring our own water, only go when i can get a discount code on lodging, drive 16 hours one way) and it doesn't hurt that at least one of the trips we take per year we stay with friends in Clermont. (only 20 min from WDW)

My DW and I have been married for 5 1/2 yrs now and have a 1 1/2 DD.
We have gone twice now in that time span. Both for 5 day trips. Once when my wife was a few months pregnant(didn't do all the rides and slow going) and the just this Memorial Day w/o our DD (we did it all, thank god for in-laws). We do go on vacations over X-mas every year so it's hard to find the time to schedule anything but long weekend vacations. However, I do understand that feeling of taking one day to relax and let the calves/feet recover. W/o that one day you do go back to the hotel and sleep for an hour or two but it's not the same feeling of being totally refreshed. Now with our DD being so young and ideas of having another it will most likely be a few years since we get to come back (boohoo). Then, I would love to take a 7-10 day trip and take a day and a half off to sit by the pool and relax. Especially with kids I think you need to spread things out a bit. Just wish the time would go by faster so we could be there again.

Normally we have a one to two year break between Disney trips...unless we get a really good deal or are doing a special celebration.
This year, mom and I were at POP in March for Spring Break but no parks just a girls weekend out.
Then we are heading back to POP June 28-July1 our Summer Vacation, then our next planned trip is my graduation in Dec 2006.
Probably after that we will take a two year break, with a possible move to D.C.

As for going somewhere else on vacation, WDW is the most accessible place on earth so all of our vacation plan discussions start with WDW. :flower:

Our first trip was 2002 and we paid rack rates for everything :earseek: Then in 2004 I discovered the DIS :cheer2: and Mousesavers.  With all this money saving info, we are able to go more often. DH,DD and I all agree WDW is the only place we want to vacation. It has everything we want. The last trip (AKL) we just relaxed and had a great time!! I am hoping to squeeze a December trip in. :teeth:

We just had our April vacation to WDW from 4/22-4/30 2005. It was DS's first trip(4 1/2 yr old). It was great. But the last time my DH and I were there was in 1996. So we were very excited to get back to WDW. We are now hoping to visit every 2-3 years. The next visit is planned for Thanksgiving week 2007. I will take the crowds before the June heat. We want to go around the school schedule as much as possible. :flower:

We go evey year. The past few years have been hard to get down there though (trying to have a baby$$$$$$$$) but the whole family is Disney Addicts so it's not hard to decide where to go on vacation. I don't think we have ever given it a second thought to go somewhere else. We are not the type of people to sit on the beach all day. We love to fun and excitment of WDW. I myself plan and plan our trips to the max. But it's usually just what we want to do and have to see. Once we get there it's wake up when you do and do what you want! No real commando style for us we like to take it easy and... STOP AND SMELL THE FOOD!!!!!

We are a litte bit on the crazy side. Since last June I have been there 4 times with my next trip in 10 days. We do sometimes skip the are not so favorite but always try to do new experiences each trip ( fireworks cruise this trip)!! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo
