New username. My original one is long gone.

Same...I was very early in here...had to have been 97 or 98', but my original name was just dvcgirl. That's back when we were big Disney fans. Prior this site I was a fan of early Deb Wills AllEars and made lots of friends through that group. Was on IRC with Disney fans who became friends back in 1996.

When I first joined, in July or August of 1998, it seems that the boards were all in one. Shortly thereafter, they separated out into categories. At least, that's how I remember it. Did something happen in August of 1999? I know I joined in 1998, and I've noticed a few other DISers where it says the same date, but they say, as I do, that they joined earlier.

The boards were changed to a completely new type of software which required reregistration by everyone. I had the August date then had to register again in April 2000 when I was a moderator.

Think 2009 because that was when I started trying to figure out how to use DVC. I wasn't very active because in short order I was dinged so I stayed away. Plus back then many forums were kind of negative. I'd say about 3 years ago the forums became less contentious. JUST MY OPINION - no dings!!

I don't post much anymore but I've been a member since July 2000. 24 years! That is crazy!
