How long have they been building Mine train?

I was watching some you tube videos with my DD earlier, and in one of them it looks as though the Mine Train is being built. It was a brief look, but it looked similar to what it looked like when we were there in August 2013...but the video was dated April 2012. Fast forward to today...I got to wondering just how long they have been building this? Just curious.

Yeah,it's a slow build for sure.All I can think of is they must have their top imagineers working on it and they're so good their contract with Disney allows them to work a 3 day work week.

It probably wasn't done with union labor, thus it was completed quickly and efficiently...

We were last there in May 2012. The second Dumbo was complete and Barnstormer and they were working on the mine ride.

My next trip is at the end of February. It's ridiculous that they STILL don't have Fantasyland finished. That's almost two years between visits.

Since our last trip to Universal in May 2012, on the other hand, there are several new rides, the Simpsons area has been revamped and Diagon Alley opens this summer.

Honestly, this kind of thing plus the FP+ debacle is why we're veering away from WDW. Higher prices, longer lines, and nothing new but restaurants, stores, and character meet and greets.
