some friends are skeptical of joining and I was just wondering how long people have had theirs..

I'm relatively new to ING, having only opened my account a few months ago. Unfortuantely I haven't been able to grow the account due to DH's reduced income, but it has the potential to be a plae for me to stach money without having easy access to it. I'm hoping by end of summer to see some growth with funds that I can transfer from my linked account.

I opened mine about three months ago and use it to keep my DCL savings in.

Opened mine on January 1st as a New Year's Resolution, I add 10% from every paycheck or 50.00 whatever is more. It feels like just another bill but its grown quite a bit, I had to borrow from it once but I paid it back with interest!

I have had mine about 3 years. I signed up for the original $50 free and have them take out $5 every week. I use it sometimes. I just recently transferred it to pay for my Universal passes!

I signed up in November of 2003. The sent me an offer in the mail and it seemed like it was worth trying. So far, I've been very happy with it.

I just opened mine last week after reading about it for awhile.
I think it will be a great way to save for our May 05 trip.

I've had mine for over 3 years and never had any problems. :)

I'm an ING vet here.. I've had them almost 2 years.

I have only had mine for a few months but it already has paid for a mini vacation and now saving up for wdw next june.

I've had mine for 5 months. I have $20 each week automatically deposited. By the beginning of December I will have over $600 saved just by a weekly withdrawl of $20 which I won't miss.

I have also put my garagle sale money, rebate checks etc. in it.

I have transferred money back and forth between my checking acoount and I N G and no problems!

I have had mine for one month now, just got my first e-statement today! I love it. I now have 2 different accounts, one for saving and one for vacations. I have automatic transfers once a week, and it works great. I highly recommend ING to anyone thinking of trying it. They are surper easy to use.

I've had mine less than a month, but am considering making it my main savings. They have better intrest rates than my money market account (that also has a $250 minimum) at my credit union.
I joined with MSMoney $50 and have signed up my dh and two dds. Plus sent out several referals and have had one sign up from there so far.

We've had ours for over three years and have been very happy with them. We actually have four accounts now: emergency savings, short-term (i.e. fun stuff) savings, and an account for each kid. We only have checking at our local bank anymore. Transferring is easy and the couple times I've called customer service they have been very nice.

Are your friends skeptical because it's not a brick-and-mortar bank? I think they do have "real" branches in some areas, plus they are FDIC insured. They are an established bank, just new to the U.S. market.

I've had mine about 6 weeks...Do your friends ever do online banking with their local bank? Or to pay on a credit card? Same thing.

I just opened my a week ago. Because of the great information I found on the boards.

Opened mine September 2003. No problems except one but was quickly fixed thru ING wonderful customer service. I personally don't know of any other banks that will give you a $10 bonus for referring others so I look at that as another +. No problem transferring money between ING account and checking.

All I can say is WOW!!!

I've had mine for about a year now. DH and DSs have had theirs for about 5 or 6 months. Very very happy with it. :) They have the highest safety ranking that can be given in the banking industry so I feel very comfortable with it.

6 months now, 4 accounts and I do the "direct savings". I was just able to deposit my vacation for next April with it.
