How long has everyone had their ING account...

We have had ours for two years now. Now we have our mortgage through ING. Service is great and their rates are outstanding! ::MickeyMo

My best friend and I opened an account together in May 2001 just to save money for our big 2004 trip. Each week we save $20.00 and have also played the Mass lottery in some form or another each week. We saved any winnings we had, whether it was $2.00 or $2,000. Yes, we did win $2,000!!! We saved a substantial amount of money and are now starting all over again. Now my DH has his own account for his dreams. ING is a great way to save, convenient and great rates!!

I've had my account about 8 months. I admit, I was originally going to sign up just to get the sign on and referral bonuses. I made about $235 in bonuses alone! However, I now like the account so much its become my primary savings vehicle. Its a great way to save, mainly due to the lack of fees. There's no transaction fees, no minimum balances, no minimum transaction amounts, and no limit to the amount of transactions per month. I found without all those barriers to utilizing the account I'm more apt to save relatively small sums of money. My account has grown considerably. PM me if you'd like more details about the referrals, bonuses, etc.:wave2:

I have had the ING account for a good almost 2 years. They are wonderful, and very very good customer service. Between my accounts, I still have some referrals so.. act FAST!

We have actually one of the two ING branches as well. (Philadelphia). They were incredibly courteous, and kind.

I actually signed up because there wasn't a bonus at the time... but for the interest rate. It is our primary savings account now, and its wonderful.

I have only had mine for a couple of months but I love it. I love how easy it is to put your money in without even leaving your computer. I also have referrals if anyone needs one just pm me.

I have to add my thanks to everyone for recommending ING. I recently received info from them in the mail and probably would have thrown it out if I hadn't read all the terrific feedback about them on the Disboards. My whole family has opened accounts and we're all finding it so easy to save this way. I have a few referrals left also-just pm!

Thanks for all your replies. I've only had mine for about a month, but wanted some friends/family to sign up.

Only 2 did as some where sceptical. Since I had mine for such a little time, I wanted some feedback from other veterans so I can inform my friends.

Thanks again and good luck on your Disney Funds. I just rolled $70 worth of quarters from only 2 months and deposited to ING.

LOVE seeing that balance grow...

Just curious to those who have more than one account. Are there referrals for opening accounts for your kids? We have an account and have saved quite a bit with weekly deposits. The interest rates are much better than the one my bank gives savings accounts so if I get a referral maybe I should open one for my boys. Thanks.

Yes, you can refer your children. I did that for DD and since I'm her joint owner, it shows up under my account as well.

That makes it easier for me to manage both accounts. I don't have to log on seperately to access hers.

I've had mine for a few years now. I made $500 in referrals between 2 accounts too. Too bad I ended up using the money for something other than our trip!!

Donna:

I just sent you a Private Message (PM) regarding this.

Its a wonderful account.

I just did a withdrawal from my ING account.. I thought it was too good to be true , but researched on it and found out it was very legit and actually a great way to save...$165.00 (referrel money for opening my own account, and for referring my kids and my husband) to put towards our disney vacation. It only took 2 days for the deposit to hit my checking account.

Thanks so much for posting the info on this! When I get home from my trip I will set up the direct deposit to save for our next trip!

Kasey

I sent a PM to Cindy about getting a referral but is there anyone else who could help me out??

Thanks so much!!

I have had mine a few months now too and using it for our April 2005 Disney trip - it is a great way to save money and pays a higher rate than many of the savings accounts at banks I have seen so I think it is a great program. I would recommend it to anyone.

I've had our accounts (myself, dh and two kids), for almost a year now and am quite happy with it. I originally signed up for the bonuses and referral money, and I've made almost $300 just by doing that! However, I've now come to use it as my primary savings account. I like the no fees ever feature, no minumum balance, no minimum transaction amounts, and no limit to the number of transactions per month. I would recommend it for anyone. If anyone has any questions I can answer, feel free to send me a pm. Happy savings!::yes:: :wave2: :D ::yes:: :wave2: :D :chat:

Can someone help me open an account? I really need a good safe way to save for our big trip in 2005.

Thanks,
shellie
