How long from Universal to Port Canaveral?

How long does it take to drive from the Universal Resorts to the Port? We were originally going to stay near the Port the night before but it now looks more likely we will be staying at Universal, do most people travel the morning of the cruise (we want to get there early so we can board as soon as poss)??

Less then an hour, we just drove it the last time 2 weeks ago. You get on 4, get on the 528 bee line and are at the port in no time. We left at 10:15, arrived at the port at 11 and were on the ship before 12. Boarding started at 11:45.

Remember when you get to the port, not to get there too early as they usually wont let you in until 10 a.m.
It is an easy drive to the port. There are a couple of toll booths along the way, so have a little extra cash with you. They do have attendants if you need change.
